Nice detail here with the bare screw, and "the bend".
Very good catch, I'll bet most people here didn't know that. I had to read the Hamtranck spec book three times to understand this because the wording in the book is very confusing and is only pointed out in the page index. Only Swinger Hardtops could get white bucket seats in '71 (see 2nd sentence in fine print in photo below regarding interior trim options). Two things I see wrong. 71 Demons never came with white bucket seat interior
The letter ''G'' that stands alone on the fender tag is actually a ''C'' which means it was built to Canadian specs to be sold new in Canada.
If the letter ''U'' appears in the same place, the car was built to U.S. specs and destined to be sold new in the U.S.
(This is the letter that appears on the third line up from the bottom just to the right of the FC7 top color.)
Thank you.And "I" for International, export to the rest of the world (mainly Europe, I suppose)

Alan used to post on Moparts a lot and had a thread on the Barrel Cuda restoration. Whoever did the metal work on that car is a true artist. It was done before AMD was even a thought. I've wondered if it was Fitzee that did the metal work, but I think he's a Newfie....and too far away.To add a little to 340Six post..
Here's where the name "Barrell Cuda came from.
Just down the street from me is where this pic was taken.

Was a Canadian guy on here a while ago had a thread restoring an orange '70 340 Dart. It needed all new frame rails, rockers, all the floors, 1/4 panels, etc etc etc. Was a big rust bucket. He got really far along, all the metal work done, but stopped posting.would like to see a before pic , Canadian cars rust big time unless they are never criven in winter , had a few A bodes in the late 60's and 70's they rusted out quickly

Just reading through this and saw the code on the fender tag for C-16,Fender tage looks to be a repop. C16 ? I don't think so.

According to a post here C-16 is for a center console.
This car originally had a console and it was an automatic converted to 4-speed.
The guy with the big long restoration post? I saw the car up for sale a few years ago.Was a Canadian guy on here a while ago had a thread restoring an orange '70 340 Dart. 100% that's a lock.I don't know the company(s) that did all the work but, given that level of work, I'm 100% certain the owner had more than the $112k-ish he/she would have netted
I'll do a complete restro for a $199,000. Any takers? The guy with the big long restoration post? I saw the car up for sale a few years ago.
Just picked up a 1970 Swinger. Original 340 EV2 4-speed car. Picked it up out of Okotoks, AB, Canada. Last registered in 1991. Plans for restoration back to original with the exception of a built 360 (Currently in car). Has the typical A-body rust in the floor (just the drivers side) quarters, trunk extensions, outer wheel well tubs and inner fenders. surprisingly the trunk pan is mint. It came with a set of solid doors (even from an EV2 car) and the only thing i'll need to track down sheet metal wise is a set of rust free front fenders. I'm going to replace all the sheet metal with AMD...

Around here a top notch shop resto is over $200k so yes you would be underwater at auction unless its some ultra rare car.
Not impressed. My FC7 Demon was 20 times worse than that car. I'm doing all the body work myself for $0 (both front frame rails, fender frame brackets, complete drivers rocker, passenger rocker patch, part of the firewall, torsion bars, trans crossmember, cowl, seat/rocker braces, full floor, trunk floor, trunk dropouts, rear quarter bottoms, in front of rear fenders, door, taillight panel, k frame/suspension rebuild, complete nose, etc ).
I'm looking at one of the engine pics and the gas tank vent line has the securing bolt in the wrong location on the passenger side fender apron and it seems to extend much farther than it should or has anyone seen one like that?

****, it ain't a 68 S/S car! Some, a lot of people got **** for brains. And I know what it takes to restore a car. And me personally I don't start with a car with only the roof left.Anyone who doesn't think this is a $130,000.00 restoration has no clue of what it costs to restore a car to this level.
Its not a reference restoration and was never mentioned as such, and several liberties were taken during the build process which, in my eyes ,added to the car's appeal not diminishing it in any way.
In a nutshell... this car is worth every penny it got at auction ( with multiple bidders) and I would be proud to be its new owner.
It is absolutely stunning!!
