Hello I'm looking for measurements on where to place 273 Four Barrel emblems. Can someone measure for me from the top of the fender to the bolt holes, and from the front of the fender to the first bolt hole.

Thank you!

1966 or 1967 Dart?

I can get the other side also. If you want it.

As You can see, the Bottom of the 273 and Top of Four Barrel is on the body line.

The Rear Edge of the 2 is 10 3/4" back form the front of the fender behind the headlight bezel.

The Top of the 2 is 5 13/16" down from the top edge of the fender.

This is the factory locations on a One Owner Dart 270 2 Door Hardtop. As far as I know this is the same location on ALL model lines of the Dart for 1967.

I am reluctant to remove the emblem(s) for fear of breaking the mounting studs.

That's it! Thank you sir!

I thought they were in front of the doors on the front fenders.
Interesting, I just Googled it and what I saw was the 273 was up front and the 383 was under the GTS badge.

Maybe the non-GTS went up front?

Just my observation in a two minute search.

I Google it, too. I actually saw it both ways. I think it depends on your emblems. If you have the emblems made to fit on top of the character line/crease of the sheetmetal. It probably goes up front. But if you have the 'flat' emblems they probably go lower on the fenders in front of the doors. I'm pretty sure I remember the ones in front of the doors. My parents bought a new '65 GT and I bought a new '68 GTS, so I was kind of tuned into that stuff.
What's kind of interesting is I see a lot of pictures of 67 GTS's, and I don't remember seeing them at all. My friend had an original '67 383 Dart and nowhere did it say anything other than GT.

It could also matter if the car is actually a GTS or not...since the 273-4 was available separately.

I know the 66 Coronet 383 emblems go in different places if the car is a 440 model or a 500.
500's get them in front of the door, 440's under the trim on the nose of the fender.

Ah, so. Interesting.

To me, this makes sense if it's a GT vs non-GT thing. Because the GT badge would be just above the 273 4bbl badge in front of the doors.
I've seen pictures of the emblems in both locations. Maybe it was a mid-year change. Or maybe they were manufactured in two different locations. The v8 emblems are in the front of the fender location, where some of the 273 4bbl emblems are. I wonder if they have studs in the same spacing as the 273-4bbl emblems. Are the 'flat' 273-4bbl emblems found in front of the doors studded or just glued-on? Sorry, I guess I have more questions than answers.

Be careful of early press photos as they may not reflect the way cars were built. These are often done before actual production has even started.
I have see in literature details that were incorrect.

It is NOT a GT vs non- GT thing.

On 1967 Dodge Darts:

If it was a 273 2 barrel, the car got V8 emblems in virtually the same location as the 273 Four Barrel emblems in the above photos.

If it was a 273 4 barrel, the car got 273 Four Barrel emblems in the same location as the 273 Four Barrel emblems in the above photos.

If it was a 383 GTS produced after February 1967. the car got 383 emblems Under the GTS Badge in Front of the doors.
The 383 "Engine Callout" emblem was the ONLY on to be mounted under the GTS Badge in Front of the doors.

The V8 and 273 Four Barrel emblems are flat and have studs for mounting. I believe the 383 emblems did also.

Agree to disagree. I don't know how old you were then, but I was there, then, and had just gotten my driver's license. I distinctly remember the badges in front of the doors. And it has nothing to do with GTS emblems. I bought a new 68 GTS in 68, so I was very aware of these things.
I agree with the previous comment about pre production press releases. I remember the infamous pictures of the 71 Challenger T/A, which was never produced.

I was 20 years old at the time.
This was my 3rd New Dart. I had a New 1965 Dart 4 Door Sedan Charger 273 4 Barrel, automatic. Traded it for a 1966 Dart GT convertible 273 2 barrel auto. Ordered and Traded it for this car I still have. 1967 Dart 270 2 Door Hardtop Charger 273 Four Barrel 4 Speed.
I can assure you that what I am posting here is the correct information.

We are talking about the 1967 Dart models. Not 1965, 1966, or 1968 and later.

@rustycowll69

These are pages from the Salesman's 1967 Dodge Data Book.

Look at the 273 Four Barrel emblem placement in both photo's.

They are on the Front of the fender.

Not under the GT Badge in front of the door.

Here is the 1967 Dart GTS 383 emblem placement. Under the GTS Badge in front of the door.

Here are pics of my 67 GT convertible and my 67 GTS convertible which make Dart67 100% correct. The red car above is a GTS 383 four barrel. I have had four 67 GTS's with the emblem located under the GTS letters and three 67 GT 273 four barrel cars and all had the emblems on the fender in the front as shown in my picture above.

Thanks for posting the photos and verifying my information..

I’ve only ever seen the 273 four barrel emblem on the front of the fender, 383
below the GTS. I’d say put it wherever you think it looks best!

My question is, the 273 emblem goes right at the body line where it is not flat, so does the emblem have a very slight curve and is it a 1-year emblem, different that the 66 models?
