Put it up for sale. If you get a bunch of people messaging you right away, you've priced it too low. If no one messages you or you get people asking you what kind of drugs you're on, you've priced it too high.
I have a friend that picks up 340's whenever he can. Blocks only or complete carb to pan.Recently bought a standard bore 69 340 block, std/std steel crank, rods, 69 340 intake a set of J heads for $500. Didn’t need it but they aren’t making any more of them either. Figured it was a safe investment
I resemble that comment.I have a friend that picks up 340's whenever he can. Blocks only or complete carb to pan.

I generally agree. However, I can understand the allure of a 340. They are a different animal compared to other bore/stroke combinations. The 340 in my '68 Dart has decent set of heads and a healthy camshaft and really wakes up at higher RPMs. Some people are just really into that aspect, and I get it. Me, I'll be replacing it with a calmed down 408 for better street manners and 'torque-on-demand' and save the 340 for a future hotrod.I find it interesting that so many people step up to pay for a 340 when for less money, they can build a 360 to the same specs and make more power.
Yep340 boat ?
