A couple hundred I would say.
Always a maybe if you don't hear it run and if you do, you can't really tell how well it runs till you put a fair amount of miles on it.
Call a salvage yard and get a price on one as is, no warranty.

Too much in my book unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket and just have to have one. A good friend passed away that owned a Mopar Junk yard, They sold 50 or more, complete 360's for $100 each. Semi loads. But that was cleaning house on his estate. Also in this case, "ran when pulled' says nothing. You wouldn't want to just drop it in and go. I wouldn't any way.

That’s a typical yard price.
If it’s clean and supposedly in good condition, sure.
If it’s suspicious in any way, I’d try to bargain.

I just bought one for $200 but it's a POS i just got for the block... i see them going from 200-1000.. i wouldn't pay over 500 for one. it took me a year to find one for $200..
I recently purchased a 5.2 for a rebuild,,,it was laying in a barn,,shed at the guys shop .
It was supposed to be running when pulled.
It had been laying over on its right side,,,uncovered.
The left bank was perfect ,,,,,I mean perfect,,,,even the valves still had good color,,just like it had been pulled last week .
The right bank,,,,,#2 had a little corrosion in the top of bore,,,no big deal .
#6 had the same.
#4 had a pile of crap built up so much that the engine could not be rotated through.
That bore is going to require a .060 cleanup to fix it,,,if that does it ?
Might need a sleeve,,,who knows yet .
The rest looks great,,,factory bearings look almost like new,,,it will make a great engine when its done .
To be fair,,,the guy told me if it was no good to tell him and he would give me another one.
He’s a good honest man,,,,I can fix it okay.
By the way,,,it was a 150 bucks complete .

I think you have to consider any unknown condition (supposedly ran when it was pulled, been sitting for a long while, etc.) engine as a core. Without proof that it runs and runs well, you should consider that it does not. Sometimes we see complete engines sell for less than bare blocks due to the unknown.

Of course it did... They all say that.
I would take a wrench capable of turning it over . I myself will never buy a frozen up motor. Moving it back and forth to listen for any clunk or extreme tight spots. Also check out exhaust ports for any excessive oil or buildup that could indicate a bad problem.Pull sparkplugs also a indicator what was going on . Check for oil for heavy if it passed on that test you probably have a good core.

honestly 500 isn't bad if it turns over fine.. also don't know if you are looking for a drop in motor or will go through it anyway.. my current 318 i paid $300 for and didn't even look at a bearing just took a chance (was supposed to be a temp motor) and the thing has been great soo far..
It ran at some point, right? LOL
A Teen taken out for a 360 would be a good choice. Probably not hurt or worn out. If I was going to build a stroker, all you need is the block and some bolt on's. ( like a timing cover)

I have 2 now and yes they do. To me the Poly is the best of both worlds. It has the 273 solid lifter rattle yet it is a 318.That's what my 360 block is for
if it's complete and it turns and not a rusted up pile 500 is about rate. if anything looks sus but it's still in one piece about tree-fiddy. if it's open in any way or laying on the ground that's scrap value 150~250
take a lap thru offerup/ye olde CL and market and see what people are asking for them these days-- the days of 250 runners is gone, everything is in that 500~1000 range; and they're not getting any easier to find at the 'yard either.
