I didn't really, I said I can see some reasons why it maybe faster, but said probably about a 1000 times now similar lol.

I could see the 410 winning, just not this idea it has a massive advantage cause of the torque bump. Generally with similar hp, Torque wise Bigger engine + higher gears = ish smaller engine + deeper gears.

That last test I posted kind of has me thinking that isn't the case. I moved the HP curve up and the iterations returned more gear and such, but it still lost almost 3 tenths to the lower RPM curve which was still behind the 410.

Could be something else is going on, but I am now leaning towards gearing can crutch a smaller motor, but it can't make it all up. I suspect more gears (like an 8HP) would, but if they both have the same trans, I suspect that a bigger motor will always do better. Unless you are trying to pass a gas station.

I am currently running through an iteration of the 367 with an 8HP, but it takes a long time to run 2.65 million iterations. :D

Ozzy/Sabbath was the 1st bands I really got into around 9 years old :) , but never heard this song before, I just looked up his albums, guess I haven't bought one since 1991's No more tears, gonna have to give the others a try :) Thanks.

Not a big fan of Ozzy without Randy.. BUT.... Sabbath will always be my favorite..

I'm not saying it cancels it out or even that should be a goal, Just only for those who worry about the torque numbers that at the tire this big torque difference kind ends up being similar a lot of the times, cause if you got same size tire putting similar hp to the ground at similar mph (aka cars of similar capability), the torque has no choice to be similar, no matter how different it is at the crank. Still the same formula instead of crank rpm now we got tire rpm.

It is quite possible this 367 is a tad slower lol, I'd would have liked to seen where the 367 and even the 323 stop making usable power but they didn't dyno that high.

Close is good enough for me :)

Randy years are definitely the best, I like the few albums after that but obviously I stop caring since I haven't bought one since 91' which would of made me 18.

I really like that show, it throws me off when they do War Pigs with different lyrics but a great performance.

Their peaks are at nearly the same rpm. If you are using street gears and not drag race gears why would use less gear with the 410?

Nearly isn't equal to the same.

If I gave you two hp curves drawn on two separate see through plastic sheets with all the graph lines and hp numbers were written but no rpm numbers where given and ask you to compare, I bet you would put the two curves on top of each other to see if there's any differences and say they were very similar, so you would know both make similar hp with similar curves but no idea at what rpms they operate at, but judging just on there purely performance potential would say both would have similar potential ? would it really matter if they operated two hundred apart or even a thousand rpm apart ?

You can use any gear you want, this nothing to do with there potential no one is saying you have too gear optimally. But everyone knows smaller displacements generally needs more gear and stall than larger engines do with similar power. Doesn't change these engines potential.

I know you want to play one up 'em gear war, that's why i say optimal is cause that's where one up 'em leads to anyways. If we both ran one of these 410 crate with different gears and stall does that mean the engine no longer has the same potential ? it's there just one of us is using less of it. Same with 323 vs 367 vs 410 vs any other 425 hp engine with similar power curve, potential still there no matter how you use it.
