ok here it is 360 duster 470-500hp. %95 street driven 35mph zones, short trips around town and to car shows. getting a 3500-400 stall converter soon and switching to either 456 or 430 rear gears for the dana. i want that throw me back in the seat thrill. i still want to go to the 1/4 miles track to see what itll run. so 430 or 456?

4.30 with 28 inch tire.Buy a converter matched to your cam, gear and tire size and you should be good.

Tire height makes a big difference. The taller the tire the more gear you need. But like Scott said even with 28's a 4.30 gear should be fine. Personally I would never ever consider putting that low of a gear in a street driven car but to each his own.
