Got my dominator fuel log and air cleaner yesterday. I thought it’s a little weird that it’s plastic or so it seems. Also the Hughes max wedge port intake gaskets. Now just need my Indy SRs ported to the max. Kim

I have been using those qaskets for yrs. , good stuff. Also ran into a set of mr. gasket intake gaskets , at o`riellies , work just as good and dont have to pay hughs jack-*** high shipping rates .

My MW Stg 6 heads ported by Dwyane flow 310/236 @ 700. That said my 528 wedge made 707 hp on the engine dyno with a 4150 M1 intake and a 950 ultra hp 670 lift solid roller with 308 duration. Sometimes stuff just works better than it should!

@66Valiant528 , do you have your stage 6 mw heads on your engine now ? i'm in a 540 build i have the stage 6 alum mw ports these were done by dave story in ky . did you ever try a mw intake with twin 750 fours on it , or hilborn fuel injection ? if you like we can pm this .

The heads are on the engine now. I have the Mopar M1 intake with MW ports. This combination has been on the engine since the build and dyno. No need to take it apart. Ran 131 mph in my 3250# 66 Valiant at 6800 rpms. First time I took the RPMs up it grenaded the 8.75. Dana 60 on the way.

Even he was surprised that those heads supported 700 hp. He didnt like the heads as they didnt have a raised roof or longer valves but they are what I had. I also had purchased the P4876128 M1 at the same time. As cast they work with the heads. There may be more power available with a different intake but that's what I have at the moment. I'm wondering if a 440-2 Indy intake would be a step up? But let me run what I've got for now. If I need more power I'll look into it.

My stage 6s are not mwp but he said the a Cindy SR is a better head. Those are the 2 sets I have so I’ll get the SRs opened up. These are the 6s I have. Kim

You know I just didnt have the money to buy the Chapman cnc heads at the time. I was a parts guy at a Mopar dealership and I got the parts at cost but it still took 20 years to build my car! Typical gear head, engine first.....reality is build the chassis first. But I was unaware at the time. Live and learn.

Those Stage VI’s should be awesome on a 383/400.

@66Valiant528 - I’ve been reading a lot of good things about that M1. Do so report any info if you do the Indy intake swap.

My 470 stroker had a M1 non max wedge with a 1050 dominator when first built. Then the dual tunnel ram with 2 660s. DTR was 2 tenths faster in the quarter mile. Now it has a measly TM7 and and a 1000 4150 carb. I do have a Victor intake to try. Kim

I doubt I'll be doing an intake swap anytime soon unless my current set up needs an adjustment. With a whole 7 runs under my belt and a grenaded 8.75 .....I wont be running until the spring. Shizz we had 4.5 inches of snow earlier this week. But with 3 or 4 10.70 runs I think if I can square away some better 60 foot times (1.7s) the car should run high 9s. My engine guy predicted 9.7s at 144. I've been very happy with 10.7s but I know everyone wants to go faster!

Mine have the standard blue MP rockers. Kim
I needed the offset ones because of the port/pushrod intrusion. You must have the standard RB port. Nothing wrong with those heads. I've got a set of the MP aluminum 452 heads on my street 440 in my 68 Roadrunner. I believe they are just small chamber Eddy heads with straight peanut plugs.

The Edelbrock has angled plugs?
Then this would be the reason MP desired straight plugs. Just like stock.
