65 dart gt hardtop w273 235since 1980 only 39000mi but sucked a valve many many years ago. It has sat in storage at many locations since. Developed just a bit of rust kids damaged some of the trim. Have bolt ons and guts from original motor except one piston and one valve. Ha but I stupidly gave up the block for a core when I bought a 2 barrel replacement so I could drive it a while. I'll be starting mine soon after gathering some info. It's time. Good luck with your project. These are really beautiful cars and I,m blown away by these pictures. Ulf, wow man that is sharp just got on this site a few days ago. Haven't slept since. By the way, can I use the two barrel motor for a core? Are there differences in the block? Problems with numbers?

A few pix plus a view of the engine [433"] which now pushes my 65GT into the mid 9 second zone!

Finally completed interior, not original for Dodge. I was able to buy some Plymouth seats, covers and 65 Dart floor shifter for a great price from Don, "65 dartman" a couple of years ago, I built new door panels and my friend sewed them up last week. They are period correct even in not actual Dart correct, and I like them.

There is no problem using a 1965 2 barrel engine block. On these years there is no VIN stamping to the block. However is you would like it as close as possible, checkbout the casting dates on the block.
