Had a 30' X 50' shop before the tarps....

It's funny notsomuch how going thru a divorce that ya get taken to the cleaners like that. Everything gained on both sides1 thru marriage should be split 50/50 anything owned prior to should be incontestable. Not fair at all IMHO. Glad your happier. Hope she chokes on all the **** she got from you.

Went to the right rear roof corner and spent some quality time there today.
It was worse than I thought but I was in a good mood and commenced to cutting, grinding, fabbing and welding.

Going to reweld the roof part after shoring up the inside

Rewelded some bad factory welds

A couple of new pieces and it's sturdy again,

I had to cut off the whole back piece so I could treat the trust and coat it.

Made another actual drip place on the rail . These vans had no way for the rain to escape...thus, rust.

Yes, but not much. Louisiana weather....I will load up some pics forthwith (like that word?)

So, I used the bottom of my donor tailgate as the rear drip rail. Had the grind off the pinch weld . The four holes..I figured would help with drainage. But looking at it installed, I'm thinking water may run up under it to the door seal. That won't be a problem as long as the seal seals!
Then, an idea came to me. I can install four led brake lights up there...eureka!

Here it is installed and tacked up. Then, the rains came. I'll be working on the rear right corner today.

Still have to straighten a little where the back meets the corner.

One thing's for sure......can't nobody accuse you of being afraid of using a ziz wheel or a welder! Keep up the good work....it's coming along nicely!

Got the rear corner almost buttoned all the way up again. I welded ţwo tabs on the inside of the roof so all I had to do was lay the corner on and tack it. You can see I still have to replace metal up the side almost to the first door.
I'll be glad to be done with the roof!

The roof has been kicking my tail for almost a month now. Heres some progress
This stuff works pretty good...with added elbow grease and a wire brush

Manged to cut a 4' long patch piece.

Getting there. Got one coat of primer...bodywork not done yet.

Looks good in the shade

Thanks! When I get done with the roof, I'll be mucho happy! We have two hurricanes headed my way so I want to get it done by Monday. I'm going to finish the top with white Rhinoliner. I did it to my camper and really like it.
