looks good. i just dug this thread up the other day to see if it was painted yet. is the center rib of the scoop cut out?
Thanks guys.
Jamesdart, yes. It's a 6PAK scoop with the center bar removed.
I really wanted the Hemi hood, but I can't afford it. This hood came with the car.

Great vision George...... :glasses7:

You built a Beast......... :naka:

Some new pix from yesterday. Still have to cut & buff the hood, recover the front seats, buy rear wheels & tires, and replace the soft top/rear window.
Hope you like it!

George, how high do the front wheels come up on a launch? What kind of times are you turning at the track? My bet is high tens low elevens. Looks great!!

Love the look...Car has come along way...Congrats

Probably the last update to this thread as the car is basically finished except for a few minor nickle & dime items.
I still need to "possibly" reposition the driver's side soft top at the C pillar because of the wrincles. If the summer sun doesn't do it's magic, I'll reposition it. I installed the top myself, and it was my first try. PITA!!!!

Cal Custom valve covers were restored here at the house too.
I just finished reinstalling the headers today after new white paint. They were black, and I think white looks more 1960's than black. Hooker Super Comp's.

11:1 440 with 906 heads, old 440Torquer intake, brand new Holley carb curtesy of Holley Performance Parts, fuel cool can from a member here. Centerforct hydraulic clutch with hurst shifter and Lakewood clutch cover, 8-3/4 rear with Moser axles and 456 gears, inboard SS leaf springs, frame connectors, fiberglass front nose with lift off hood. Thats a 6PAC hood with the bar cut out. Has MSD ignition, trunk mounted battery.
Basic enamel paint done by me with hardner, but no clearcoat.
Legendary seatcovers installed by me as well, ordered through Rick from Layson's.
If you need or want to see a picture of something specifically, please ask!

Hope you like it!!!!!!!!!!

George

Be proud of your work, that is a Thing of Beauty.
You should grab a flip camera and post a video of it running; I'd love to hear those headers in action.

very cool car! I agree with ya George.....I love crager's too! I'd love some small bolt crager's for my duster.

It looks like a cheetah ready to pounce on its prey.....beautiful!
