Hey everyone it has been awhile but just wanted to update on my 71 demon slant 6 to 360 swap. I got this car from second owner and it was in very very good condition with mostly original paint. The car had a great runnining slant six and drove it for 6 months until I got water in the oil. Still ran for couple months until bearings gave in. I had a nice 360 short block ready to go so I wasn't concerned. I had to put lower 1/4s on the car and for now just ran a black stripe with silver pin stripe down the car until I decided to paint it. The interior of the car is like brand new. Once we pulled the motor out I deceided to clean up the engine bay and shoot it with some aerosol single stage that came out great! Got the paint on eBay cheap and easy perfect match. Using Schumacher mounts the 360 went in no problem. The motor is very mild but nice little street cruiser. 365ci with jheads with extensive porting and gasket matching done in house. Speed pro 8.6:1 Pistons and I tried the Hughs Whiplash cam for low comp. motors. So far it runs awesome.. Super responsive and sounds killer at idle. I still have some odds and ends to finish up but very close. As for the suspension it is all stock with exception of a 1 1/2 sway bar up front and 1" in the rear.. With the 6cyl and 15" tires it handled great. Unfortunately the car is still on the small drums all around and still rocking the toothpick 71/4. As for rims I just got a set of 17x9's with 275/45's in rear and 235/45 up front. I used a set of adaptors to go from 5x4 to 5.4.5. With these in place it aloud me to use an extra wide late model rim with no issue at all. Hope to be 100% next week!
