72 duster 360 NA to 390 Turbo

-
Installed a 2step for fun. Wired to the horn button, works well! Drag radials hating life.
I was hoping to go the dragstrip tomorrow and see if this helped my 60ft times but it has been canceled due to upcoming storms. I will take some time to reconfigure the turbo system and change some things up with the wiring, waste gates….etc. It’s going to getting HOT here in NC, not fun for driving a black interior turbo car. Hopefully ready for fall action.

Nice. When do we get a video of “poppin and bangin”?

Ouch.

I’m putting a Hughes EFI intake on my motor but not planning to run EFI until next year. So I am plugging mine, but wanted a way to do it without hurting the intake.

You said you are going EFI later, right? What’s your plan?

Not to thread hijack, but they make injector blanks you can put in fuel rails and injector bungs until you get ready to run efi

Update: not much just to report. Haven’t had much time to work/drive it. I was hunting a super lean idle. Pulled the carb and dropped a nut down the intake and went all the way to the head!! Spent 30 min with magnets and wire trying to fish it out. Ultimately had the pull the intake. Gave me a excuse the clean up some wiring, repaint the intake and install my new valve covers.

Looks like we’ve been here before! Not sure why but intake gaskets didn’t seal well enough at water port. Never had an issue before, first for everything. Engine is fine, she was a little steamy out the exhaust. Let’s try this again after my carlsie trip. Leaving in the early AM tomorrow . See you guys there.
