Glad you posted this! Not into bad mouthing someones hard work but the issues were quite obvious! Hence my low bid.... Does BJ have to list the consigner and buyer for public knowledge to prevent this sort of thing from possibly happening??

No. Privacy matters.

BJ gets paid, so they are satisfied. And sellers could have their friends buy the car for them too. It would be very tough to police and would get open up to more liability exposure.

Also, in most big auctions there are fake "shill" bidders in the audience to drive up the price and bids. At reserve auctions the auction house will many times ask/pressure an owner to lower his reserve during the bidding. Stating only one of the bidders is real, "take his price, he's real and the other guy is ours".

i just sold a 383-S 4 speed Barracuda needing work to a member on here. after seeing this one sell for 50k plus fees has to pump him up.

It does make me feel better.I can at least say to myself, I may break even? I sure didnt buy it to make money.
