I am now moving on to make a decision on rear leaf springs for my barracuda convert.

Can you guys provide me with pictures of how your barracuda sits with either or xhd/ss mopar springs??

I am pretty sure that the original springs that are on my car and sagging in the back...lol

I am leaning towards SS springs, but pics/info from you all can help make my decision alot easier...

as always,

THANKS,

Shane!

XHD will raise the back at least 2". If you want the raked look there you go.

SS springs will give you the "stink bug look". Higher on the right side. Great for the track, but not the best for a daily driver.

If you want the car to sit level, and back to the stock height, go for a set of stock replacements.

Really depends on your intentions with the car.

YOUR POST brought me into the party!!!!

Its been in my head for a while, and after reading your post, I am happy I didnt pull the trigger on new rear springs, and see pictures before I do!

See I wouldnt mind a "little" higher in the back, but dont want it to be "jacked" up in the back...if that makes sense... I think a picture or two of each spring on a barracuda will help me make up my mind..

I didnt want to High jack your thread, so I asked my own...

thanks,

Shane!

thanks Johnny!! My car is mainly daily driver, so SS seems to be out... I will have to decide if I want it 2" 's higher in the back...I would like it a bit higher, but dont like the HUGE lift in the back....

some pictures will help me decide...

In another thread I read "flip the hangers with the XHD springs and sit nearly perfect".

If you dont like the huge lift in the back, do not get the XHD. Been there done that. I actually have them on my 70 Dart which sat way to high for my taste. I dropped the car 1" with Mancini front adjustable hangers.

Stock replacement springs will actually lift the car up from where it sits now with the old saggers. In my opinion you will be very happy with stock replacement springs, for what you want to accomplish.

No need to mess things up by wallowing out the holes in the frame so you can flip the hangers, just buy the hangers from Mancini Racing that have the second eye bolt hole. Use the top hole in the hanger to lower the rear end about 1.5 inches.

Thank you Andy.....Took the words right out of my mouth.

Incredibly misleading. Holes only need to be opened just a little. You turn your round hole into an oval hole. I did mine with a round hand file.

NOTHING gets "Messed up".

Mancini Hangers are simply a waste of $65 on top of the springs you are going to buy. Unless you need hangers.
