Bench or Buckets that is the question.

I would do both. I would have buckets stored and saved ( albeit with the bucket reinforcements preinstalled ). Or vice versa ( bench installed and buckets stored ). I hang my seats from the garage sealing covered with plastic to keep the rodents away. You could then swap from one to the other when it suits you. Never hurts to pull the seats occasionally to clean the interior anyway. That would give you a tryout period and if one feels better than the other just sell what you like least. When I cover my seats I put a thin rubber mat material between the foam and the springs to prevent the springs from cutting through the foam. Doesn't look stock but I'm not into concours restorations, only bulletproof one time repairs. You can buy replacement springs for the buckets I believe from Classic Industries.

I bought buckets from a buddy who was not using them in his drag car. We traded back seats so mine match. I don't mind a bench seat in most applications but I don't want to be sliding around holding on the steering wheel either. I bought a factory console as well but have not installed that yet. Probably do that when we swap transmissions.

Been lucky to have the bench with the fold down arm rest in a few of my A-bodys....my 1967 "Goldie" Cuda being the first.....kinda prefer those but wouldn't kick a bucket out.....

There’s some comfy van seats that look good and come in many colors.
Finding some narrow enough might be the hardest part, or one's without power seats, if you don't want the extra weight. Might want the base, if it has one, & cut & weld it shorter, for easier installation.
