Big Block fit problem

We are in the process of dropping
a 383 into a 71 Dart. The oil pan is resting on the drag link. Does anyone have some suggestions for a fix?

You may need to get an oil pan for that engine in an A body, welcome to the board!

I copied this from TTI’s website. This is where they want the engine sitting for their headers which should be the factory positioning and should clear with the proper oil pan. This may or may not be your issue. A picture would be very beneficial. Good luck on your project.

That 893 pan'll put you in the poorhouse. lol Use either the 187 or 699 as linked to in post# 3. Either of those will get the job done.

Stupid question, but is the transmission bolted up with the trans crossmember in place?
