I was put off by what appeared to be required to fit the G3 into one of our A-Bodies. I didn't research too deeply, but at first glance it looks pretty extensive and very expensive to update the front suspension to allow it to fit. I don't count exhaust, fuel system upgrades, chassis stiffening or EFI systems, as that is needed on almost every common engine type used.
As I said, I didn't look too deeply into the cost of the front suspension swap to a coil over K-frame conversion, but that adds about $2500+ to the swap, No? The 4L60 I had built for it bolts right up to a G3, so that cost is the same for either mill.
I already had bigger torsion bars, tubular upper control arms, adjustable strut rods, a sway bar, so the cost of those items would be offset to some degree with a full K-member upgrade with coil overs etc. I was already running all that stuff anyway, so it was easy and pretty much a bolt-in process to install a stroked 5.9 Magnum that puts out over 500ftlbs of torque beginning at 3400rpm and 820hp below 6000rpm with only 11psi boost. The Novi I'm using is rated up to 26psi, but I'm not going there.
