I am building a 360 to resemble a 273 Commando to be put in my '65 Belvedere. I am making a "what if" sort of ride. What if you could get a 273hp in a B-body...Koffel did it in '65 and won.
So in homage to the Super Stocks-I made up a set of these to honor my own "one of none"-a fun way to start a conversation at a car show.
cool eh?

sorry for the crazy distorted pic...used the first test run decal and stuck it on a side glass to take the picture. It is actually the closer to the same size and dimensions as the hemi ones(that went inside the glovebox door).

Just waking up a old series of posts. -- Here is a 318 dressed like a 273, in My 65 Valiant.

I spun a rod bearing in my first 273/4 and moved all the parts onto a 318 block. With a mild Herbert stage 1 cam in it, it was way faster than the 273/4 ever was. Im building a 408 and without the callout on the MP chrome air cleaner, you wouldnt know if from a 273.

Magoo, watch out for that fuel filter, I had one whos filter media came unglued inside and went into "bypass". plugged my inlet right up and darn thing ran lean as heck and died when I got on it.
