It was in one of my deleted posts that you cried about cuz they hurt your feelings, remember? Not my fault you identified with my comment about nerds n stuff...but I know you're the sensitive feelings type. In the future when I mention nerds, don't take it as I'm talking directly about you... just people like you.
LOL, no it wasn't, because you never said it. Just ,more attempted grandstanding.

I don't mind being called a nerd, I like to learn all I can about my chosen profession.
You on the other hand seem to be nothing more than a one trick pony with your die grinder and shop vac, that you got for your birthday and you just can't help yourself when it come's to telling the world about the only trick you know.
Maybe the only other thing you're good at, is giving the Rat a run for his money on who can be the biggest, self absorbed, self promoter around here.

Back a year or so before I got my first driver's license my dad had a 76 charger SE ((a Cordoba with a different grill and taillights) that had a real tired 360 in it. He went and got a low mile (supposed around 40k Mile) '77 318 out of a lebaron, in a local junkyard, that was originally a lean burn 318. No way we were adding lean burn to a car that never had it....
We took the original Holley 2 bbl intake and carb, and the distributor out of the original engine and ran it on the "new" (to the car anyway) engine.
My brother parted out an extremely rusty 74 charger around then. The 727 came out of there, went in for a "bench rebuild" and went in behind that 318. I wasn't yet old enough to drive even though I did about 75% of the wrenching on that swap. My dad couldn't believe it, that Car ran better with the 318 with the 360 intake carb and ignition than the 360 those parts came from, ever ran in that car.... And was way better on gas too.
My dad was one of those who kept a book on every car he owned, from the day he got it.. every quart of oil, every tank of gas, every set of brakes and tires got put into the book.tgis was about 1982.
One thing I thought was weird about that 318 from the get go, was that it had the "IH" ( yeah international harvester) logo cast into it in 2 locations. Once on the back face of the block and one on (I forget which) side of the block. About 4 years later (after I was out of high school a year or so) that became my first car. '86-87ish

I started to keep a book on the first car I ever built. I didn't have a drivers license when I started the build. After about 6 months I gave up on the book, I didn't want to know how much it was costing me.. LOL !!

This 1986 318 Engine would be the first year for the 302 Closed Chamber Heads, on through to 1991.

Also the '86 to '91 318 engines were the Roller Cam.

I agree. The block was cast starting in 1984 for early 85 production..but '85+ are the only ones I've found with a roller cam actually installed. Btw...if highsteric had his nose any further up my *** he'd be kissing lincoln logs. What an envious a**clown.

I was thinking the first year for the LA 318 was 67 or 68. I know that Poly's were still used in 66 model cars.

Wait......he said they flowed 244 cfm @ 500 lift with 149 cc intake port volume and DV said he did a set of E7's about that size that made over 500 HP. WOW.

Magnum head, same size port and 1 c hair the work will bury that. Better chamber, better exhaust ports.

obsessed beyond repair @Hysteric
Many heads will bury it but that's besides the point considering many here including yourself said it wasn't possible.

@Hysteric
You never give any other 318 head attention or credit, you only focus on one casting number that suits your specific need and then you argue like it represents the entire mopar world AND with insults only a child would use. Hysterical it is, you surely picked the right screen name. You leave your a** open in every response.

This bears repeating for those who said it couldn't be done.
