i agree losing 11 guys is tragic, but at the same time there are serious issues that need to be delt with at this time. plastering their names and all on the news isn't going to clean up the freaking mess that BP has made.
call this oil mess anything you want. bottom line it is a clusterfuck that should never have happened. if ya don't know what to do in an emergency then you shouldn't be drilling in the first place. this **** isn't ever going to be cleaned up as it should be. its just not possible. i'm definatley not a tree hugger but dam these assholes at BP just gave the enviro crowd all the ammo they ever needed.
i also think its pathetic that 30 years later we still haven't found a way to deal with this ****. they are trying the same crap they tried and failed at 30 freaking years ago..

now you have the CEO of BP saying they wern't prepared to deal with this.
this bull **** comes down to greed. these guys should be going over what to do in every event they can possibly imagine. hell its not like this has never happened before. why aren't they prepared? because it probably cost money to have guys sitting in a conference room once a week or once a month going over different things and plans of action in case something like this **** happens. to me thins is pathetic and unacceptable that its been blowing oil for a freaking month now.
aside from all the environment and wildlife they are have fucked up for years and years, the entire coast is going to be hurting financially big time. had a buddy that was in the FLA. keys last week. could have got a room anywhere because of all the cancellations. people canceled because they don't want to spend all the money on a vacation only to get to the beach and have in covered in oil. no the oil wasn't there yet but people aren't taking the chance.
this oil spill is a disaster and heads had better roll for this.

PENSACOLA, Fla. – BP fumbled its latest underwater experiment with the wild Gulf gusher — just like every other endeavor the company has tried to fix the nation's worst oil spill and important BP'schief executive said the company wasn't fully prepared for the disaster.
The Financial Times on Thursday quoted BP CEO Tony Hayward as saying it was "entirely fair" to criticize the company's preparations.
The newspaper quotes Hayward as saying: "What is undoubtedly true is that we did not have the tools you would want in your tool kit."
