some of these car shop reality shows I kinda enjoy watching. tonight I was watching desert car kings buy and restore (I use the term loosely) a 64 barracuda.

so as they take apart the car they continuously mention about not breaking the rear glass, and as sure a morning crap, they break it! The retarted thing is that the head moron in charge stands a bumper upright against a jackpost so it can fall against the glass on a narrow body stand that happens to be 2 feet away from the post......wonder how many takes it took to try to imitate that accident.....damn some things annoy me......I love staged reality

suppose I could change the channel......but then I couldn't complain

i used to see them in the junk yard all the time.. never saw a broken one..

tried to sell one years ago.. couldn't get $10 for that thing. everyone said oh they never break..lol

that show is horrible. talk about a bunch of butchers..

and they lost their *** on that car

They didn't really do to much for that car for resell. Fresh paint could have been a better color and several other things

There is nothing reality in television like there is no common in sense

My dad saved 3 from parts cars....one he kept for a spare, one he couldn't sell so he got rid of it for free at a Mopar show and I think he smashed (on purpose) the other one and tossed it out lol

the Chevy guy who was making a lame attempt to try and flip our Barracuda to us made that claim about a $2000 rear glass! I laughed and I laughed and I laughed! I told him I have a friend 2 hours away who was willing to pay my gas money if I would come get it out of his yard! and I laughed and I laughed and I laughed. I bought the one owner, well two own a car for less than 2 rear windows lol

I know you've heard this story before, but I'll tell it one more time!!!...

I found an old clapped out excuse for a 65 Cuda at a house in town! It was faded, beat to heck, dirty as heck inside, but it did run! There was a faded old for sale sign in the back seat so I called the number! Sure enough, it was his and for sale! I asked how much and he told me $4500, and that the back glass alone was worth $1500! I told him I would give him 3 back windows for the car, full price!!! Ahhhh, NO!!!

That was 1995 or so!! Still hasn't called me back!!!!.......

Did you happen to look closely at the remnants of glass from the back window that the Desert Car Kings supposedly broke which were laying on the ground in the few seconds after it got broke?

The remnants on the floor looked to be about 5-16 - 3/8 inch and light green tinted....not thick enough to be from the real Barracuda back glass. http://www.discovery.com/tv-shows/other-shows/videos/other-shows-desert-car-kings-videos/
Take a look at "Expensive Screw Up" and what's on the floor when they're standing around it after the crash, at the glass around their feet.....
Years ago we had a glass laying in the shop we had removed from a rollover that was severely scratched (ya it didn't break sliding down the highway!) so we shot wit with a 30-06 and the remnants looked like they were WAYYY thicker and appeared real dark green when broken.

The thing I hate the most about any of the "reality" car shows is their completely incorrect information they provide to the viewers! It's an insult to the intelligence of the car enthusiasts in the know (FABO'ers in this case), and the blatant lying and ripping off of people not in the know ( the way Counting Cars and Fast and Loud severely underbid on cars they know are worth waaaay more than their offer)!! It ticks me off completely that they stiff the seller and then flip the car for an overinflated price to the next guy!! Of course, since none of the show is actually real anyway, I find it hard to believe that anything on any of the shows is factual anyway!!! It just gives the car culture a bad fast is all!!! Geof

Slow motion and enlarged watching it is real.

OMG, you mean a TV show actually destroyed a $200 piece of glass and claimed that it was a $2000 piece for dramatic effect?!? They probably spent more than that on lunch for the production crew that day.
