From 10 feet yes , it's a daily driver in summer , on nice days , no driving in the rain .
Thanks

Edelbrock LD340 intake was sold through Chrysler performance parts. It had a Chrysler number. Just like how today you can buy MP parts with MP part numbers that are just repackaged parts from aftermarket suppliers.

Many sellers now of those LD340 intakes try to get everyone excited with: half-truths, folklore, wives tales, and general BS to suck more money out of them.

Edelbrock RPM is proven to be virtually identical on the dyno.

I remember seeing the Chrysler emblem on an alu intake , must have been an over the counter intake , not a factory installed intake .
Thanks

The symbol for Chrysler and Plymouth back then was a blue pentastar, Dodge was a red one. If it was just cast in a part that was 'natural' in color, it could stand for either...

Except the 6 pack.

LOL, well, maybe just a little better!

I am sure this one will run the fastest on any 340....

Then I should be able to get more from the serious engine builder.
All the direct connection mods made to have a rip roaring engine!
LMAO!

What a crack smoker that guy is!

Some people ! It's nice , but 1000 !!!

Yep the best factory stock 340 intake, to bad there wasn't a factory aluminum intake for the 4bbl

I remember hearing about a local Super Stock? Pink Challenger T/A that converted the car to a 71 340 TQ and intake setup because the car made more power and went faster.

It was actually a Stocker....and probably cause the 71 TQ motor was factored less then the 70 6 pac motor....

trying to remember his name...there was a woman that drove the car at 1st....

last name is like Buell...

Gene Buell, Hesperia, Calif., '70 Challenger, C/SA, 10.596 seconds, -1.394 (under index)

that would have been with a 6 pac....

Locally a guy running a 70 AARcuda in stock has changed the car to a 71 Cuda with TQ....

Yes. Woman drove car then. Used to bring it to spring fling.

Troy at Westoaks was suppying them with MP stuff when they made the switchover. The 6-pack intake and carb alone did not make the power of the 71 tq setup.

I'll ask Troy for more details. Don't think I have Gene's email.

I wonder if that was the one crackedback sold a few years ago at a Spring/Fall Fling. IIRC, it was around $300 +/-$75 or so.

It might be. I remember the guy that bought it.

IMO, that dude has some real fantasy land pricing. Used intakes for roughly the same base price as a new one... oh wait, then add in the shipping and it's way more than new/free ship from summit/jegs. Beyond stupid and looking for that one sucker. The intake IMO, is worth the same as a new air gap.

It's Hemi George that in his Spring/Fall Fling swap spot has a couple restored woodgrain steering wheels, big block water pumps, a handcrafted wood carving or two. Drives in late at the back row in an early 70's Dart or Valiant.

Could be that's it changed hands since you sold it.

When I was in Pa. in at the mopar show in Carlisle ,saw many ld4b passed off as ld340,s priced at $300 ea. /many stock intakes painted were 175/200$/ a dirty one 2 doors down $50 .

That could be back in the day, I know I've heard from a couple F.A.S.T. Sb guys that wish there was a 70/71 duster demon 6 pack factory car. I guess they "know" they would be faster.
