I have a 8 3/4" rear end from my 70 Dart that is set up for drag racing and I am turning the car back into a street car. It is a Hensley built rear with Moser axles, 5.13 gears, full spool, large bolt pattern, narrowed slightly but spring hangers are in stock location. Any reasonable offer considered. I am looking for a stock rear with posi/limited slip and somewhere around 3.55 gears. Interested in a swap or sale. Also if any of you know where I can get a stock rear let me know, I need one whether I sell this or not. PM if interested.

It is an 8 3/4" rear and I need to correct my original post. It has 5.13 gears. It is not a Ford. The problem is I don't know as much as I should about it because I am not a racer or Mopar expert. If you want to you can PM me with a phone # and I can call to discuss. My mechanic knows all about it and I can ask him after we talk. Thanks: Marty

Your best bet is to get the measurement from housing end to end. Also are you selling with the brake system attached? What size brakes and axel bolt pattern(4 inch or 4.5?)

why not just sell your center section and then buy a 3.55 sure grip center section for it?

I will measure it tomorrow. I would consider selling with or without brake system. 4.5 bolt pattern.

That's what I had planned on doing until I found out it was narrower than stock when I installed some stock rallye wheels and found out it was too narrow. It looked pretty funky with stock rallye's on it.

Put fat rallyes on it, its all good! I'd do it straight across for a 3.55 cone SG A but I'm out here in CA.

They would have to be pretty fat to fill in the huge gap. They don't make rallyes that fat. I did consider some aftermarket rims with virtually no offset and wide tires but I really want the rallyes.

if the springs are in the stock location then the rear can't be all that narrow. a few places will make a rally wheel to custom specs. me be worth talking with them...
