FABO Member Deserves a New RIDE!!!!! HELP NEEDED!!!

-
I love the pic of rlk340 with title in hand by the car. That just warms the cockles of my heart! I`m amazed at how nice those Ca. and Az. cars are. Nice job guys!

What is the scoop with the insurance company of the guy that ran into rlk340? Wasn`t the old Duster hit by a guy driving a company truck? Company trucks are usually insured quite well.

Since he's going through a divorce he may have a problem having that title in his name. it's an asset and her attorney will most likely want to include the value of the car in the settlement. you may want to consider having the title in his parents name.

Yes,today was a great day !!! With the help of FABO members Dave and I were able to deliver a car to a fellow member/friend. It felt good to be a part of something like this. Russels children were all there. Seeing the look on there faces was something special, they seemed very excited for their dad. I look forward to watching this project evolve.

Now I would like to thank the folks who were able to donate to the cause.
This truely is an amazing site, which never ceases to amaze me.
We should all be proud to be apart of this amazing site.

Thank you,Thank you,Thank you.......FABO !!!!!!!!!!!!!

That part is still in litigation. The insurance company is willing to settle for what i had the car appraised at, but wants a crazy number to buy the car back from them. And of course my lawyer went on vacation during all of this & won't be back till the 12th. The civil law suit is still pending because I'm still doing physical therapy on my back & neck. I went to a court ordered restitution hearing & mr drunk was there. Since my medical is still on going, they ordered him to pay whatever the outcome of the civil suit is. After it was all done, he tried to apologize to me in open court, but i just stared at him with out accepting any apology. There is no way to forgive him for what he did, he could have killed all 3 of us. If it wasn't for the fact we were in a well built car, the 3 of us probably wouldn't still be here today. What pisses me off the most is he still has his license, is driving around in a new chevy truck, has a older ferrari sitting in his drive way. And I have to borrow or rent cars to get around on the weekends so I don't have to use my work truck to do stuff with my kids. How is that freaking fair!!!! I'll stop my rant now, sorry. Thanks to all the FABO members who made this happen & to every member of this great site for their support, it means the world to me. Russell

Russell, I was hoping that there was some insurance involved somehow. There are a lot of clowns driving around out there with nothing. It may take a while to get everything ironed out but at least you`ve got something in the works. Yes it doesn`t seem fair that numbskulls like this are still driving around but states handle things differently. Many will allow offenders to continue to drive- to and from work -but you know that right gets abused. I hope everything works out for you in court and you not only get back everything that this creep took but some punitive damages for what you`re having to endure. Like I said earlier, it looks like the guys have picked out a really nice Duster as a foundation for another build. Keep us posted on your progress, both in court and on the car and take care. Best regards- John

That is an AWESOME blessing for this man who has been through so much in such a short period of time. The members of this forum NEVER cease to amaze me by their kindness and generosity. Way to go everyone out here. Cheers to all of you for a cause that in my eyes is truly very heartfelt!!!!!

The photos are priceless...from 6/6/2010 and 6/6/2008. This is the kind of spirit we should aspire to everyday among ourselves.

You guys are great!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just now saw this thread. Russell totally deserves this. I sure do hope that the insurance and lawyers get their act together and resolve the legal matter and pull this guys license and take him for everything he's got....

Just to see that Russell has something to smile about is a HUGE step in the right direction. My prayers are with him and his family, even his ex-wife. It is my hope and prayer that they can put the kids first in this unfortunate situation and give them a solid foundation to build they're lives upon. Yes, FABO is the best family on the net, and Russell, Dave and Johnny and yes, even Mystery Mopar Man are all at the top of the heap. How many other web families come to the aid of they're comrades in need like this??? Could probably count them with no fingers!!! Good job guys, I'm so proud to be a part of this family!!! Nice Duster too!!! Geof
