Father-Son 1974 Duster Project

It’s just a correct puller for the job, basically a screw extracted.
I have also heard of people using tap to remove them, there is a thread on here on how it works, and the tap size.
I looked at the picture of that show on Mancini’s website, and for the life of me I can’t figure out how it works. Doesn’t look like it can grab the Shell

I am running just a smallish aftermarket plastic fan. I have an OEM fan and shroud coming, just not familiar how the clutch works

When the engine is cool or even at normal operating temperature, the fan clutch partially disengages the engine's mechanically driven radiator cooling fan, generally located at the front of the water pump and driven by a belt and pulley connected to the engine's crankshaft.

Morphed

Yeah I get that. I was bewildered by the slots on the clutch

Took me 20 minutes with hammer and a new chisel to get these bushings out of the LCAs and off the pins. LCAs all painted up and ready to go in the car with a Dr Diff front end kit, Hellwig sway bar and shocks all around.

Did you get the new bushings and pins in?

A local shop is doing the install and alignment when complete. The same guys who put the Dr Diff kit in my sons Swinger. They will press all that stuff together for me.
I’m driving the car over there Thursday morning.

Misty is getting the Royal Treatment!
Actually going to a real mechanic with a real shop for front suspension install...

All new front suspension parts installed!
Went with the full Doctor Diff kit with idler arm. The Hellwig 55905 sway bar went in nice as well, we used the bolt on tabs. The Gabriel 34057 coil over front shocks look kinda cool and the overall feel of the front of the car is beyond anything I could have hoped for with these budget friendly parts. For good measure we added a pair of Monroe 58496 coil over shocks out back. Super happy with the results.
One thing I discovered is I’ll be needing a replacement steering box now that the rest of the front end is so firm and quiet!!

So...the function of that particular style of coil over shock is to slow the compression and increase the rebound?....so it does not function like a 50/50 rebound /compression shock?

I haven't seen them in years ......and when I did they were always on the rear of some big tank /station wagon. Interesting.

These shocks were used on light duty Ranger pickups back in the day. This old school hot rod guy who owns this run of the mill auto repair shop swears they are a must have on A-bodies with stock suspensions. I am no suspension guru but I'd guess they slow the compression. All I know is Misty goes fast and can go around a corner now without feeling like she's gunna flip over! Best part is, my high school car went fast and felt like it was gunna flip over and I liked it....

Got a little nuts thinking I had mismatched door header trim. Thought I had two of one side. False alarm. Installed what I had last night and it works perfectly. Refinished my visors again and put in a better rear view mirror I recent acquired. Replacement upper door seals on the way.
Hidden Bluetooth stereo and kick panel speakers next on the list.
It’s hard to get a good photo of the interior....

Looking good-D/D is that the Grant steering Wheel? How does it fit next to the turn signal arm?

Thanks!
There was about 1-1/4” of space when I test fitted it. I only used the Grant Mopar install kit and didn’t get a spacer or crush can.
I had several turn signal arms so I stuck one in a vice and made the bend where it comes out of the column have less of an angle. I have about 3” space on the turn signal and shifter when in drive. Very comfortable and have not had any instances of hitting either of them unintentionally.

Cleaned up this shroud I found on facetube. Just need to find the right hardware to install it.
