......I started this car in 1997, and have Sloooooowwwwwlllly been getting it finished. Here are a few pics, not great, I'll get more as I plan to get it on the road by spring. Interior is all in it, the motor will go back in, in a few weeks. Needs buffed and waxed. If it can be replaced or rebuilt it has! And yes, that is a rock'n 1979 Ford Fiesta parked next to it, we have evil plans for it.

I though I would never like Orange. That dart looks very nice.Keep up the good work. Mark

dano, that's a damn fine lookin car there.that orange is nice and will look even better when the chrome starts going on.Nice work,it's gonna feel so good when it's finished, that's a long time, just makes it sweeter.8)

Sweet!! I agree, it will look great when finished! Is that a club car in the background as well

Wow nice dart. Dont look like you have a whole lot more ahead of ya!

Other than the WRX in the background the rest is my dads (including the golf cart, and he doesn't even golf...), that is his place. It looks all Ford, but there is a 66 Coronet 500 with a 440/4 speed sitting with a cover in that shop that is 95% restored, used to be my old car in high school. I'll get pics of too.

What I really want are the W23 wheels, i love them to death on 69 cars, too rare and the one company that repops them want far too much as well...:angry7:
I might look to some widened steely's with dog dishes, going for the stock as hell look.

Awesome lookin' dart you've got there:thumbrig:
When you are done with that Fiesta, I need the engine out of it for my 722 Bobcat:toothy10:

Nice dart, keep up the good work.

Unless you got that Ford from over in Europe, what you have there is a Festiva. Ford's answer to the Yugo!!

not at all true, ford sold the fiesta from 1978-1980 in the states. I had one after high school to commute in and it got 40 mpg all the way up to 319,000 miles when the engine finally died. My dad bought one in 78 to use for work also and that one actually made it into the ford "million mile club". lotus engine design was a good one

Yep, 1.6l Kent 4 cyl. We've had 3 at one time. Festiva's came in the the late 80's and were Mazda based, very popular for a 1.6 Turbo Capri swap. The Fiesta was a German built Ford, this is a MK1, they stopped selling them in 1980 when the Escort took it's place, but the Fiesta lived on in Europe and Mexico. Those stripes just back up it's 63 hp btw....
