On what I consider to be safe timing numbers. We pulled a bunch out of it compared to what it was running on the old combo.

Just curious, based on the traction you will be able to get, do you have a goal for power? or just ALL the power?

That’s a question for Chris. I was there for moral support. And I may have twisted a screw or two. The goal (if I can speak for Chris somewhat) was to have a safe tune up in the car and make sure it wasn’t going to hurt itself. The power is a bonus. We knew what potential was there, I mean it’s a big block with an 80mm snail on e85, anyone should know it’s gonna sneeze big power. Now it’s all about controlling it and using what you can.

I just want a nice comfy 5psi.... nothing too big :)

MANY moons ago I was asked that same question and I don’t really have an answer still. It’ll make what it’ll make and run what it’ll run when it goes to the track. I’m just having a good time and oddly enough meeting a ton of cool people along the way.

That’s what everyone says in the beginning. I’ve never seen anyone, not one person (myself included) stay there.

See... i'm soo cheap though that anything over 5psi would have me too worried bout blowing stuff up :) Keep it safe and cheap!

Go do it. Please prove me wrong. Put 5psi on anything, I’ll bet you $1000 it won’t stay there for more than a year. There are a lot of guys here with boost on stuff, we should start a poll.

Thank you for once again proving that a big block can survive big power.

With that kind of power, you've got to be bumping up against a thousand at the crank, right?

Id call it high 800, maybe 900 at the crank on 14. Which is terrifying considering it’s a stock crank, stock caps, stock cap bolts and no girdle in it.

It was a 40/60 day. 40% of me wanted to but 60% of me didn’t want to push a mop
hey man, when i get out there to play figure it to be a 50/100 day

50% my junk holds together, 100% i'll be pushing the mop if it lets go.

i'll bring the refreshments, you guys will need to supply the comic relief.
