I read to many past posts regarding the horrors of GM transmissions in mopars from this site. To many varying opinions, very extensive mods etc etc etc and most were negative which is why I chose GV.

Same can be said for most things. A lot of people over-complicate the heck out of a lot of things, all kinds of things. There are good and bad ways to do virtually anything.

There's also those who focus on all negatives or all positives and never realize most of the things in life are a mixture of both. It all started with that one forbidden apple in that beautiful garden.

All that aside, the 2004R is the best performing transmission I've ever driven. Although I admit I haven't driven an eight speed Porsche PDK in a Turbo S......yet.

The thing does 0 to 60 in 2.2 seconds all day long!

Just curious, what was done fitting the carpet around the area?

Custom interior. And a console went on top of that.

I think the area could be built up around it with padding/insulation to even it out with a molded carpet. Heat, weight, a some helpers would help too.
