I wouldn't sweat the cylinder head price. Did they do everything to them that's on the invoice? If so, you gotta good deal. Sure you could buy aftermarket heads for a bit more, but that's not what you chose to do. You done good.

At first I thought that total was for just the parts, which around here would be a good deal. I'd think I got free machining, free assembly, and free break-in. As well as a free head porting..

In other words, a "smokin" deal Mr. Dilinger.

Almost $1100 to redo a set of stock iron heads. New edelbrocks are just a little more.

Looks great John. I can't wait to see it in your Dart.

And yes, we tax labor at the shop I work at. Utah taxes EVERYTHING!!!!

I think you did ok. All depends on the shop as far as the rates. The one I use is expensive, adn for what you got, it would be closer to $4500 after tax. You can't breath in CT without getting taxed.

I'm just asking, what did they balance on an externally balanced engine?? yeah you got a great price, wondering if the tommy gun had anything to do with it??? JK

Good pricing. i payed $ 738.00 just to do the machine work on the block only..

Very nice. Seems like great pricing considering all the parts and labor.

I wonder if my machine shop will do a port match and clean up.
