looking for a good machine shop in or near minnesota to port heads and machine engine block. any suggestions?

You could try Hitech Motorsports in Ramsey MN. I have seen several articles on engines they have built over the years, most recentently in the Royal Purple Mopar Engine Challenge 2006. There are also quite a few good ones in Michigan.
