How has everyone set theirs up? Trying to kill time before i yank the 340 and swap it in.

Thanks!

I made an air box and sealed it to the rad support opening

I made my own out of 3” pvc had it hydro dipped to look like carbon fiber and put specte filter. I’m cheap and it works great. Even Tom Hoover approves of it and liked the idea he may have just been nice. I’ll post a pic later. If you can do it like Realwing did is probably the best way. It looks really professional. I have seen his car in person Follow his lead.

Heres what i did... some sorta fresh ram air Box, that gets air from infront of radiatior.... works killer, i made a lil shroud that deflects water i can bolt in, but i dont drive it in down pours, its the hot rod!
Oiling i did remote filter, bumped lines up to 12an out the block after oil temp sensor... ran an oil thermostat before the cooler... oil temps stay 175-190
It all required cutting and welding the way i did it, but i built it for me to have fun... hope this helps

Looks like with your oil lines you were able to just use AN10 straights out on the block by the looks of it. Have any more photos of how they lay with the alternator there??

I also put all my relays in this box as well. Fans, headlights, AC clutch

Huh. It never crossed my mind to utilize the cold air box to hide some relays as well but I think that's a good idea! I have 2 of those universal 6 relay boxes that I'm going to be installing in my car (one for the EFI, Ignition and A/C relays and the second for headlights and electric fans). I wasn't thrilled about the idea of having both boxes visible under the hood, so this would solve that issue.

looking at your pictures and you have the magic ticket for the serpentine belt routing i am going to go with. what is the belt number you have on your car.

it was the thread regarding cold air box's and oil filter relocation

thank you

Looks like he’s running an aftermarket front accessory drive, in which case, it might be multiple belts

But he was asking @CurtDawg510 who shows only one belt.

@Kiddart1, my notes say Gates K060780 for an AC delete belt with the PS pump delete bracket.

Doesn't look CurtDawg510 has been on in almost a year so maybe that will help.

Silicon 90, aluminum tube, and filter from Amazon. My filter is screwed into the block at the factory location. No relocation kit needed with the HDK K member.

to delete the power steering and ac, is it just the gates belt and the pulley that goes in place of the power steering?

Yes, for a 6.4 or the '11+ Eagle 5.7 motors. The caveat is because the 6.1, early 5.7 and the '09-10 Eagle 5.7 don't use the same belt spacing so the pulley adapter that replaces the PS pump doesn't line the idler up correctly.

Pulling air from the cowel area is really efficient in cooling intake temps.. yeah you’ll have to pop a hole but it’s worth it. The oil filter adapter is a transdap m20 filter adapter -10 fitting
