I will remove the back cover off the alternator as soon as I can. Thanks for your help.Judging by appearance, the alternators look the same, which means the modification I came up with may work. I would need to see the back side of the alternator with the cover removed to determine that. I also heard maybe you can use the pulley from and eagle on an early motor to make the pulley alignment work. I'm not 100% on that.
Woah that looks much different. I assume that's the truck alternator. I only know about the car accessories. According to chat gpt, the non-eagle alternator can be used with a eagle pulley. Who knows if that's 100% accurate?I will remove the back cover off the alternator as soon as I can. Thanks for your help.

You don't need an adapter to bolt up a small block 727, 904 or manual trans bellhousing. All you have to deal with is the flexplate or flywheel. They did admit they may have spent more there than necessary, but they also didn't include any transmission adapters that will be needed for a usable street car, so its probably a wash.
hemi 6.4 fuel injected will be far more drivable and capable of 600hp without too much work. The 440 with 600hp will have pretty shity street manners, meanwhile your missus could drive the hemi getting groceries thats the main appeal.I would prefer a stoked 340. That's just me.
That's kind of where I ended up. I went through a lot of different ideas of what I wanted to do with my car from a small block stroker, supercharged small block, all aluminum big block, to the gen 3 Hemi. I originally bought the car with the Hemi plan, but kind of waffled at the time due to prices (this was 10+ years ago when swaps were still pretty new). I was pricing things out and a lot of them came up similar in cost, but I ended up finding a 5.7 engine reasonably local for an acceptable price first. I also liked the idea that the modern engine was going to be a lot easier to mod and make power with while still being pretty friendly. The head flow on these out of the box stock is better than some of the best porting you can get on the vintage stuff, so it definitely leaves some room to grow.hemi 6.4 fuel injected will be far more drivable and capable of 600hp without too much work.
