Sometimes you just gotta pay the piper. The freakin local carb shop stated they just would not do the work I wanted, would not sell or order me one ethier.....Weeeeeeeeeeeeell OK then.
Sears probably has bottoming taps but I bet they won't have this one being it's an oddball thread count. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think 1/4-28 is fine thread SAE so 32 threads per inch is really fine.
check a local machinist supply or online as well. you can probably get it cheaper. if its not for a holley, then how do you know what thread pitch you need?
I called a local carb shop. (Excellent...strike that, super excellent rep.) I asked the thread count. Forgot to ask what size though. I think it's a 1/4 inch like said above. Don't know for sure though.
I didn't like the , well, maybe a harsh judging of them at that time, but curt responses I was getting from them. I'll leave it laying. Not everyone has a terrrrific day.
