65 Falcon Futura 289, 4speed, 8.75 w/4.10, frame rails moved, tubbed, Chrysler Super Stock springs, pinion snubber. Most unbelievable power from a tiny engine. Could change gears on the street at 8000 rpm
67 Camaro SS/RS 302 w/ Chrysler aluminum case white stripe ratio 4 speed Dana 60 7.17 ratio for 1/8 mile so another 8000rpm plus car.

I`ve searched and can`t find any conclusive answer.
I`ve considered the teardrop scoops to be seen first on the thunderbolts as really an extractor. Talking to rodders 10 yrs my senior say they were real popular and was seen on everything back in the day.
I`ll still say they are/were a Ford scoop.
