as the good weather nears i am making a kinda planI had a low mileage 360 example in about 76 or 77. It was pretty sweet.

yes , you sure had some cool cars, kinda leaning toward the 360 putting the rebuilt heads and intake from the pursuit with 4 barrel , i am 66 first build if it blows up it will still be cool....You had some nice cars allrightee
Bought first one new in 74
3 speed on the floor slant 6- 198 cubic inch ...hwy 36 mpg.....Finally tracked down the original color gold ....This one will certainly not get anywhere near 36 mpg ...Wife wants to drive it at Summit Drag Way ,even if she goes 55 mph it will be fun.
i am leaning toward the 360 vs the bored out 318Do you have any pictures or other info of the red car you had?
I picked up one that sounds similar to the one that you had about 20 years ago in a Southern Alberta junk yard.
Red 360 4 speed '74 Dart Sport with a parchment interior.
I still have it BTW.
P.M. me if you would like.
And to the O.P., yes it is a disease, why do you think i built the green Dart Sport in my build thread instead of the real 360 4 speed car i just mentioned?
It's all about the car itself...........I was more in love with the green one for some reason...........
i will find out how to post a photo ,i have been wanting to do it for some time ..i believe i will put the 360 in the 74 sportIt shouldn't but you may have to select a photo from your photo files. Phone or computer both work about the same.
My wife says it's a guy thing. She has mo feeling for a car. I tried to explain my love for my 65 Formula S and how much it reminds me of growing up with mopar in the family.Funny how we get attached to an inanimate object, just a hunk of steel and plastic! I have owned many Mopars since mid 80's but so strange how I would get attached to one and not another. Had nothing to do with whether it was a "rare" good desirable model or just a mundane model!!
I doubt you would ever be sorry with choosing a 360 over a 318.
Even if you just build it for fuel efficiency, the longer stroke can do amazing things.
You can build 'em to make more torque than your street chassis can handle, and
you can get them into the 12s pretty cheaply.
The lightweight pistons can make them willing revers
With the right chassis combo, a 360 can make an awesome street car.
I'm right behind you Oliver, coming 66 in early summer.
Got pictures?
that is funnyEvery time I get behind a Pree-Asss I think, "how can we possibly be going down this road?"
If I witnessed a bank robbery, I would be hard pressed to describe the getaway car................"Officer it was a nondeminational greyish-silverish-light colored...........rounded off............sort'a like a blob............
So much of the new stuff to me looks like a rolling outdoor toilet..............
at 66 years, i want to put this on summit for the time and tune ,never done it ,it will be fun.........that is funny
I wish I had back every car I ever sold...
