My son's car, a '68 with a 318. Body is rough, dings and scratches and rough paint, but we've gone through the chassis so it runs well. Put 11 3/4 discs in front, too. Got voted one of the coolest cars at his school..... Gonna put a 383 in it someday.

It kinda fell off. The guys had installed it with carrige bolts and the declid ruster apart so I changed to a good decklid and will eventually reinstall it. Not For Sale cause if I sold it I wouldnt have one.

This is FrankenDart my 67 Dart Convertible. Anybody who has seen it knows it is no show car. Rust, dents and faded paint. Its a rusty Canadian car with more welding rod and box steel in it than a Home Depot! Bet there is even some bondo there too!

Now, I do have the money and skill to restore it, but why? It runs great and reminds me of the rides I had in high school. Actually its nicer than anything I owned then!
Its a blast! EVERY drive is a new adventure. We put on over 4000 miles last year from May to October. If only I could still feel the wind blowing through my hair...

For the most part people love the car, understand its condition and fondly remember their own high school "beaters" and how much fun they had. In the short time its been out this year I have meet many new people and heard about a lot of old great rides.

I LOVE IT!!

I took the trailer with me and told the guy flat out that if you want to sell the car we are way off on the asking price. He kept talking about the fresh rebuilt /6 that cost him a grand to do.I still payed too much for it,but it is complete down to the wheel covers.Solid foors and trunk, with a little rust on the driver quarter.I got a complete drivetrain for it and a disc brake kit.Re-bush the front and rear and install the 8 3/4, clean up the interior and drive the hell out of it. Don't think I'll have it done for MATS though.

H/Duster, I sold the Valiant back in Pittsburgh this summer and the 64 Belvedere at Xmas time.(I still have sellers remorse) Thinking I was done,,,?? Like a junkie I started jonesin' and couldn't help myself.
Tear down starts next week if you feel like gettin' dirty.

There's a 65 Valiant for sale now....been thinking about it :banghead: Give me a call when you start the tear down, I might be in the area.

Whatcha doin' with that International cab sitting in the background? I had one of those that I parted out and I regret it every time I see another one. I just didn't have the space for it at the time. I'll find another one someday though. I've got a soft spot for the ol' Binders.

It's a little more than a cab! I cut up and installed a Mustang II front end with the electrical, trans and 302 from it too. It has big front discs and a 8.8 in the rear with discs as well. Sway bars front and rear......just needs an exhaust. :D

That's bada$$! There's another one down the road from me I've been keeping an eye on for a while. It's sitting out behind a shed and never moves but the guy claims it runs. I'd love to do something very similar. Mustang II front end, 8.8 rear, maybe an LS or new style Hemi for powertrain. I love some old trucks, but with a wife and two kids they just aren't practical for me at this point in my life. I'll build one someday though.

74Dusted, what kinda dash is that in your car?? I think it looks better than the RMDs!! I love the clusters with the big round gauges n chrome rings!!

Rallye Cluster from a 67 Cuda, bought it on eBay in 2006 for $100. I just wish it was the 150mph version instead of the 120mph that I have.

It has the optional "Performance Indicator" (Vacuum Gauge), which is useless now that the car has a 6-71 Blower on it. Ive been thinking about having a boost gauge made to mimic the design of the vacuum gauge

Love the stance and the color of the wheels. This is pretty close to how I'd want a Dart 2dr to look.

I would love to see a chopped, gutted, slammed, open roofed bare mental and crazy motor'd a-body rat. Like this:

Once my '68 Valiant starts to melt I'll probably go that route :burnout:
