Harbor freight grinding discs. For stripping paint, are very good on bondo. Then weld and use everlast filler. That is what I have been using. Oh well a weeks worth of work.
Your car is not that bad, mig welder and filler. Toss that tank. A1 has one, get mew sender, 10 to 80 ohms is mopar unit.
Check with your local radiator shops, most can boil it out and apply a protective coating to the inside.
The last tank I had done cost me $40.00.

Wow that is some serious work being put into that.........it will pay off one day...
Click onto this thread and you will see how one worse was done. all I can say is persistance will get it done.

Your avatar pic fits accoringly with what you have discovered onder the bondo.
We spent 4 months on the 69 Charger body, and had to make a bunch of sheetmetal patches, Hang in there. Learning curve is steep. lol.
Learn butt welding( gas mig is best). Jump all over it, to keep warpage down, and you need at least a 3/32" gap, as the weld contracts. and sucks in. Only use Rage filler and icing, from Sherwin Williams, and 3m sandpaper from them; it costs, but we could have saved half the time if we knew the combination. Eastwood( I hate their prices, and never buy epoxy from them) has a sanding block kit, $$, but like hard foam, to stick the self-adhesive 3m on, nice. Harbor freight hammer and dolly (once you figure out what hammer off dolly means, things get better). Ospho, from Ace Hardware, is your friend. Don't let it sit, to form a crust; wipe it on, and wipe it off; no water.
Paint, Sherwin Williams. Etching primer for bare metal(harbor freight mask, and ventilation, that stuff is nasty.) . Their Acme urathane primer/filler. That stuff fills, and sands so good.
I have been there, with my 70 Duster, and we are close to finishing my bud's 69 Charger, ready for paint. Patience, it is slow and a bit///
But the painter came over and ran his hand down the Charger, and said stop sanding, my guys will take it from here, and love it. 5 months on our part. And the painter said Sherwin Williams is all he uses anymore; we primered, and shot the darkest purple(looks black) ourselves, in the trunk, jambs, bay, etc; and cleared it. If you knew what you where doing, with a good gun......
I know I'm pushing S/W here, but do buy the Rage filler. And send more pics; we are here to help fellow Mopar nuts.
what happened?This build is over.
