Wow! What a treasure trove! =P~=P~=P~ I had a wagon just like the one in pic 11 on the first post. That thing was brutal!

That Power Wagon really floats my boat too, plus just about every car there. :-D

let me know if the one I posted about is available. I have always wanted a 4 door cruiser..

Ah, I'm not sure about that one, thats actually the first I've seen of that one because it is right square in the middle of that whole field. I can ask him about it, but it'll have to be slow, he's a good friend and I would hate to be the one that pisses him off by selling off his treasures. I will ask though. Keep in mind I am also in Canada, I'm not sure where in the US you are.

Well, he's a machinist by trade, he's an older guy now, but still gets a lot of people in asking for him to do work. He also used to be half owner of Cassidy Speedway. He has been into drag racing a lot too, used to race a late 50's 4 door Imperial up against the people in their Nova's and stuff, and was beating them all. He owns a 57 Desoto that has a 354 Hemi with dual 4 bbls, that car is near perfect, he is slowly working on it, added 4 wheel disc brakes, etc.
His daily drivers consist of a 74 Power Wagon, a 78 Cordoba, a 74 New Yorker 4 door, a 70's New Yorker station wagon, all these cars being original and near perfect mind you, and he just picked up a 91 Ram Charger, being the newest vehicle he owns, came with a 318 but he's dropping a 440 into it.

As for all the cars, most of them he owned at some point in time, the ones with roll cages he either raced or built for someone to race, most of those have 'Thanks Joe' written on the side somewhere, but a lot of them people have just givin him because being at his place they will never get crushed. Sure a lot are sitting rotting away, but there are plenty there he will sell, he sells a ton of parts to people, he probably has 40 1st Gen Hemi's collected in one spot, he shoved a 392 Hemi into a 56 Front end loader that he uses on a daily basis (that thing is nuts..), and he also has a thing for Caddilacs. But mainly big block Chryslers. If you look through that yard you will see maybe.. 4 small block cars. The best part is.. you could stand and talk with him for days and your brain would be so boggled with information and he could keep on going. He is incredibly intelligent.
how do i get ahold of this guy? im looking for a hemi

Hey Mike, we're going to have to set up a time when Rob, you and I can get together and venture over there. I have yet to actually meet anyone from the board in person. (And if I have, sorry, don't mean to forget people, lol)

We need to talk Mike (and Joe) into that one, I live in Victoria but I have a cabin about 5 miles from Joe's place, practically neighbours  We're up there most weekends so no problem setting up a time with me, over to you Mike :poke: Maybe some time this summer when the weather's good and you've convinced Joe we're good guys

I'll tell ya right now, chances are he won't sell you one. You've got a better chance of buying a complete 440 from him than a Hemi.
figured not. to many think they are worth a fortune anyways. and he seems like a collector not a seller. or a packrat of cars. looks like the place they shot the movie wrong turn to me. creapy

OHHH GOD, I have seen those pics before but I just got a weird tingling feeling in my crotch! Does Joe like redheads with big boobies because I may be willing to trade Nikki for a few of those cars and parts. :D

Some day I will make a trip up there!

Those pics. and the cars are too cool!Reminds me of playing in scrapyards around here about 35 years ago(learned how to hotwire a car at an early age) Great pictures!!
