Can’t remember which spring left or right were an inch more than the other
Also I want a slight rake on my 70 Dart
What are you guys running? Is there a similar spring out there that performs as well as as springs that is cheaper
It looks like the ss springs , bushings etc. will be over 300
Please post any pics of your Dart and tell me what you used. Thanks Brooks

I understand that one side was arched more than the other to aid in flex factor/traction I definitely don’t want one side of the rear higher than the other !!!

That's how SS springs are designed. If you use two of the same part number, you have just turned your pair of SS springs into something else. The right side sits higher since the car flexes to the right and lifts on the left when launched. If you don't want that feature, don't get SS springs. I would get some form of the XHD springs. They came on factory 340 cars. You can get them stock height, +1", +2".

Check this PN# MRE-1981-1982 out at Mancini.
It's a XHD spring that gives and extra 1" of lift.

i guess i just don't understand what you are trying to do. in your first post you want something that performs like a SS spring. then later on you don't want one side higher... but thats part of how a SS spring works..

whats the intended use of this car?? mostly drag car? go ss springs.. mostly street and you are after the look then call espo and get their XHD +1 or +2" springs and be done with it...

you can call caltrac and see what they offer but i think they will cost more then SS springs.

After calling a buddy that used to race for Chrysler years ago he said that the ss springs with one having a bit more arch than the other weren’t noticeable unless you were looking for it
So I’ll say that SS springs will work for me. Some street racing and lots of cruising.

i wouldn't even bother with SS springs then.. and you will easily notice it being lopsided...

use the XHD springs from espo and be done with it.. figure out how high ya want it and order them..

.
I put a new set of Mopar SS springs on my Demon. Right side was definitely higher. I ditched the right SS and run two SS lefts. Sits nice.

It's a very noticeable difference. 1.5" - 2" worth. That said, I like SS springs. They flat out work. Some say they ride a little stiff, but they never bothered me. I've run them on several street cars that I also raced, but I don't think I'd run them on one that would never see the strip. You will notice the uneven static stance though.

As a user of SS springs many times. You will definitely notice the right rear higher than the left. If your looking for the rear to sit level, use two left sides.
