Check out my new ride! I have never been an electric car fan, but the lease on this was so dirt cheap I couldn’t help myself. Leased it for 24 months.

Easily the fastest coolest car I have ever had. 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, 11.5 second 1/4 mile.

They have gotten a lot of bad press, and they are ridiculously overpriced, but it is one of the nicest cars I have driven. This one was $80k sticker. Nobody is buying them and some dealers are getting desperate to unload them. The fake exhaust sounds are kind of hokey, but I am starting to like them.

Time will tell if it was a good idea…..

They're NOT selling for a reason..no body wants a car with a fake "vroom vroom' sound..Mopar is a joke now  :rofl:

Bring it on haha…….
No kidding, this happened to me a few weeks ago ,I was visiting a friend in Florida

He drives a Jaguar F type, his wife a tesla of some sort

Me and the boy were running down the tesla, finaly he throws me the keys to the jaguar and says "lets go"

From a roll i had the tesla but from a dig, that stupid buzz was right next to the jag, maybe even a nose ahead of it, all the way up to about 100

And that was a Tesla, not something marketed as a scat pack

I will admit they can be impressive

It's a good lookin car! Congrats Mike! Keep us posted on how it does.

It is interesting that the reviews of these cars are overwhelmingly negative online, but very positive in person. Since dodge made about 10,000, and probably only sold about 12, nobody has seen one in person. Folks stop me every time I drive it and ask what it is. Everyone who rides in it is impressed. Either that, or everyone is just being nice to a doddering old fool…..

I think most of the critics who haven’t driven or seen one in person are probably affected with a cerebral / rectal inversion……

What does the range seem to be so far?

A test drove one this last winter, it was super nice, but it wouldn’t charge in the cold.

Haven’t driven enough to really tell, the reviews I have read say 240 to as low as 180 miles. That seems to be well on the low side for an EV. With 670 hp, I was not expecting great range. Folks say it gets worse in cold weather.

I bought it for a toy car rather than a daily driver. At 6000 pounds, it is a lead sled, so seems like hoping for great efficiency is probably not realistic.

I figure all in, it will cost about 10k to drive for 2 years. With my present and past old toy cars, seems like 5K goes away in a heartbeat, not much longer to get to 10. This way I don’t have to fix it (can’t anyway). Maybe just have to take it in every week to get all the electronic crap fixed, haha.

My dad used to say a fool and his money are soon parted. I guess time will tell whether I am wise or a fool, or some of both like normal….

But if that fool is having fun, that's kinda tough to argue with. lol

What about charging station? Is that extra or included? Ive never leased, normal maintenance is paid by driver?
Cool looking car, I would go for a ride.
First time I have leased a car, so I am learning too. It is under warranty, so no cost other tires if I burn through them. No oil changes on an electric. They gave me a 240 volt home charger that I plug into my welder outlet. Taxes, license, & pretty much everything is rolled into the lease payment except property tax.

Charging on the road costs about 20-60 cents a mile near as I can tell. Not sure I will ever go very far, as it seems like too much hassle. I just bought it for a stoplight burner. I am pretty far away from being a greenie….pretty much a bible toting gun bearing redneck, so maybe I’ll make some “different” friends…..haha…..

Looks like a nice car. That Charger coupe is something Mopar should have had available years ago.
Each to his own. Drive it and enjoy. While you're out on the street, blow away a bunch of those Honda's with the big wings and fart can mufflers.

I think it's nice looking, congratulations on the lease, good luck. But $5k per year doesn't seem to be factoring in the electric charging costs. Here in New York, the utility company has raised delivery charges dramatically, and the monthly electric bill on my 450 square foot house went from $75 to $1000, so I'd be very scared to see what an electric bill would be for a house AND an electric car...

I'm sure that it is fun in its own way and there's no denying the power of an electric motor but it's not a muscle car just another electric car shaped like a Dodge charger. To me they just have no soul it might as well be a Tesla or a Kia or volt. If it doesn't require a bloody knuckle or occasional curse word and make you smile when it starts ...well that's nice. .
