-
It's cooled off here a little, another heat wave must be on it's way.. Thats a pisser internet going out, last time mine went out I lost a new 727 shift kit on ebay for 9- freakin dollars, I wasn't happy....
That is one hell of a steal! Id be all over that like flies on stink

Someone gotta deal, I stayed up until 3 am wanting to bid on it, my internet went down at 2 am, auction ended at 3 am, my internet came back on at 5 am...

Are you using the A100 leaf springs to??

Yeah, I'm gonna use the stock springs, probably shackles in the front.. I thought about shorter aftermarker springs, there just not in the parts budget right now.. I didn't get much done this week, been tryin' to line up some parts and get some parts put on ebay to break even on what I'm gettin' for the Valiant...

Are you extending the frame rails out to mount them? Or?? I been seeing a few different ways to do it.

I've not got that far in mock up yet, but I don't think I'll have to if I mount the shackles in the front, mounting the shackles in the rear would set the nose up to high looks like using the long A-100 springs.. I'd rather have the shackles in the rear, but with the front end to high it will effect handling... I don't want it to look like a 4 wheel drive nor do I want the *** dragging the ground....

Cool, I will be keeping close tabs on this build. I might be a lil' crazy but I believe this is where my 7o Charger build is headed8)

We could start an all Mopar gasser club, yes/no?? lolol

Thanks Tom, It was good talkin' with ya the other night.. I figured these guys would give me hell for having a ChEvY tow rig.. I need to get my azz in gear and get those dics brakes for it before the yard crushes the old truck there on... I'm workin' on scorein' parts as fast as I can for the Valiant to get it going...

Well, the faster you get parts, the faster it gets done and the more we can gawk at the pictures of it! lol

I didn't get much labor done this week, but I did score some parts, heres the break down...

Yeah, Paul, i enjoyed our conversation the other night too, (i've got a bit of a Canadian accent if you didn't realize it) Also, i've always had a soft spot for the '60's chev/gmc trucks.
My dad bought a '65 chev 1/2 ton new and brought me to grade 1 in it first day! (1968)
Glad you got the e-bay thing workin' for you.
How about some more progress pics of the Valiant?
Tom.

I'll post some progress pics about mid week, gonna work on floor pans and lighten the hood this week, gotta lose every pound I can....

when it come's time and you can be sure of your engine placement make a cardboard stencil "mock up'' of the engine plate mount like this I am thinking But I have never had the pleasure to enjoy a gasser build, what do yall think ?

One step at a time brother, enjoy

FOR SALE FABO 100.jpg

We'll start mock up soon since we now know the secret "SPEEDWAY" leaf spring tricks.... I should have the 383 and 727 home next week, gotta tear it down to the block for mock up, then we'll know where everything is gonna hit plus I can cut a hood for the tunnel ram... Sorry for the slow updates guys, been waiting on parts and brother have we scored some parts in the past week ;)

Thank God for Brothers on the board and ebay!!!!

No apologies needed in this thread 8)
I think I named my restoration thread one step at a time or something like that 8)

Yep!!!!!! Do it once and do it right... We're walking a fine line here keeping it street legal and track ready.. It's a whole different world having to build with 95% good used parts, one part at a time...

Yo memike,
I've got Victoria a care package parts box started, Shes gonna be doing donuts in the driveway when she opens this box ;)

Got one started for you to brother, I will find me a nice green lawn and do one for you if the law allows it, You have been busy today :happy10:
I remeber driving a solid engine mout car on the street's, it felt and looked so cool shaking . no need for a cup holder 8) got to have a bottle holder 8)
