It was definately starved. So you're saying it had 50psi two years ago and was fine, then it had 50psi again and they ended up like that?
Was it every rod and every main, or was there one of each that wasn't overheated?

No im saying last race season last year we bought the car and ran it 66 passes, i wanted to freshen up the motor this winter-re ring and check bearings thats all we wanted-THEN this winter while at the engine builder he supposedly found that my heads were cracked and minimal wear on bearings. I bought the eddy heads from him HE took off the spray bars and oiled thru the block and rocker shafts and this is the results. So now the block is a part and im looking for causes and remedies to fix this.the builder was at the race 2 weeks ago next to us and when we started having problems ducked out of site and wont respond.

Also NO on the oil pressure question-last year as we got the cat the lowest oil pressure we ever saw was 50psi when hot after a run-THIS year the oil pressure got worse on every one until the 6th pass zach shut the motor down cause 1/2 way thru the pass there was NO oil pressure. We had ZERO issues last year.

The highest oil pressure was saw this year was 40psi and pointed it out to the engine builder at the race and he told us to run it and it progressive worse

"I thought there was supposed to be 5 bearings on the cam?",", ETC
LOL. that happened to a friend of mine the other day with an engine he had purchased. Low oil pressure was chased to a missing cam bearing.... Fark... who does that!!!!

Man that sucks, it looks like your "builder" butchered up a killer small block. sorry to see that mess

Aj-teach me how does that happen-yes 12 of the 16 valves are fractured

Try this link to modify LA oiling modification by Herb McCandless from the 70s or 80s. http://www.moparchat.com/forums/archive/index.php?t-103826.html
He also has one for big blocks and hemi's. The mod improves oiling to the crank, I've done this mod myself, you need to buy 2 8"-10" drill bits. So for $30-$40 you greatly improve the oiling system on these engines. If the link doesn't work google herb mccandless oil mods and it should get you there also, or call them to get the information.

Pretty sure thats coil bind

anymore picts and I'm gonna be sick...... that is beyond a huge bummer.

And we paid for this-second time ever building a motor-me and my son were looking so forward to this drag season.sucks when humans do this to other humans, the thing that almost hurts the most is he's got a shop full of other people's motors-steve
