I'd like to know a little bit about everyone. SO how about posting a little about yourself, where your from, what you do why you are here, the car you own, etc.

I'll Start.

Obviously, my name is Joey, and I live in Chicago.

I am a former 1971 Dodge Dart owner and am looking for another Mopar as we speak. I am also a Lincoln enthusiast, own a 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII -

I own another website, www.lincolnvscadillac.com and really enjoy it. I do web design for a living.

-----

O.k....

My real Name is Jason, I'm a recovering GM addict.
I'm married <2nd time> and have 2 daughters
I own a 69 Charger, 86 Trans am, 66 Mustang, and a 99 jeep wrangler <see sig>
I live in Saratoga NY, yeppers. horse racing over here ;)

I run a web site as well www.speed-freekz.com, basicly for anything with a motor is welcome there. Most of my users are motorcyclists.

Ohh, I'm here because it's a fun place. I was turned onto this site by Mikelbeck. I installed a few of his MODS for PHP and found he's a great guy and mopar fan. He told me about this place and have felt welcome as the B-Body step child, ehhe So i'm here to stay.

Well, I know things are a little messy now, but I hope we can continue to be that fun place. And yes, I agree, Mikelbeck is a great guy.

Ok, this could be a long one. Lots of fun clicky-pops in this one!

I was born in Brooklyn, moved to Lawn Guyland when I was around 5. I grew up here and still live here, right in the middle of the Island.

I'm married since '97, have a 4 (going on 40) year old son, and a dog. I'm a fan of Bugs Bunny, Motorhead, Mercyful Fate, Richard Petty, Darrell Alderman and Al Hoffman. I hate John Force and Warren Johnson, since they were both a**holes the times that I met them. I once partied with Lita Ford in her tour bus, and you can see my ugly mug at the beginning of one of the tapes in Metallica's Binge & Purge video set.

My 9 to 5 gig is as a Technical Specialist for Reuters in Hauppauge and New York City. After hours I have a company that does Web Hosting, custom programming, networking, custom hardware builds & installs, web sites, etc, etc, etc. I've written a bunch of mods for phpBB, and have done a whole load of custom stuff in PHP for various customers. I've also had a hand-held weather station (for drag racing) in development for the last two years or so. Needless to say I keep myself pretty busy.

I run a bunch of web sites, Burwood Boys Racing, North East Bracket Racing, Linked Images, and have a few that are still being developed (Fun Kids Mail and Make Out Songs).

The first car that I ever owned was a '69 Road Runner with a 383. The people in my neighborhood were Mopar people, one guy had a bunch of '71 Cudas, another guy had a '68 Charger R/T, and a few guys we hung out with had Road Runners, Chargers & Challengers. Since then I've owned a '91 Daytona ES and a '68 Super Bee with a 440, and a '85 Laser.

My current rides are a '97 Dodge Ram 1500 and a '73 Plymouth Duster that I race in Heavy Eliminator at tracks in New Jersey - Englishtown and Atco, mostly. My wife drives a Honda...

I found this board a months or two after it first started, and it was in pretty sad shape (sorry Adam!). I was asked to help out, and wound up moving it to one of my hosting plans and converting it to phpBB. Since then I've been an Admin here and have helped out doing what I can to make it a better experience for the users.

Every time I see one of Joey's posts, with "Joey" in it, I immediately think to myself "Joey mailed the mail, the mail he mailed.". Does that happen to anybody else?

What else ya wanna know?

Hmm, let's see. My real name is Steve, I was born and raised in north east Baltimore but moved to Kissimmee Florida right after graduating high school (Eastern Vo-Tech) in 75, before Wally World was big. I'm on my fourth and final marriage, I have 3 boys, 15, 20 (also a member here) and 24. I now reside in Deltona Florida located about halfway between Orlando and Daytona Beach.

For most all my life I was a Chrysler or Dodge dealership technician, then a shop foreman, service writer, assistant service manager then a service manager. I quit that gig because quite frankly between the customers and DCX I got burnt out. I took a few months off and now I'm currently running an independent repair shop for heavy trucks. Mostly account customers as we specialize in roofing conveyor trucks and drywall cranes, but we will work on anything. A tremendous improvement over my previous gig.

I own a 96 3500 Club Cab dually V10, a 92 Dakota Club Cab V8 with 392,000 miles on it (bought as a lemon buy back) an 04 VW Jetta TDI (44 mpg) and my current race car my 72 Duster 340, an original 340 4 speed car but not much of the original car is left.

I play guitar and bass guitar, and have built a few. I've even built a tube amplifier from a kit.

I'm here because I like to discuss Mopars and this has been a nice friendly board without the politics and stupidity of the others.

well i have allways loved chrysler/dodge since i was a young boy it's just been a facination to me well just over a year ago my future father in law was saying that he was selling his mom's car because she had had a stroke and was in the hospital and me and my fiance where joking around saying what if i bought the car but figured it would be too much for me to afford... well just out of curiosity one day i asked what he was asking only to finf out he didn't much care for the car it wasn't worth anything it only had a slant six in it without power steering or power brakes so all he wanted was $1500 wel now i was really interested and talked about it some more with my fiance and ended up buying it site unseen. well about a month later i finally saw it and i was in love it was awsome it only had a little rust on the very corners of the rear quarters and the interior was almost perfect she was the original owner and it had allways been kept in the garage and being an old lady driven car it only had 106000 miles and it had always been looked after. well now i own it and it is a blast to drive but i've gotten the itch to modify it for more horsepower (but keeping the slant six) and do some other things to it but i have to wait untill after the wedding (later this month) but it will be fun when i finally finish (like as if that is possible to ever finish) and go for some nice long cruises and enter in some of the big car shows and just have fun in general.

i know thats a long story but thanks for giving me a place to come and be amongst toher people who have the same interests as i do keep up the good work on the site i love the site and it's looking great (not that it didn't before thanks adam for creating it)

My name is Tony I live in Moonachie NJ. I have lived in my own home for 28 years. I'm married 28 years to my loving wife Mary. No children, but one Boston terrorist .

I have a 24 track recording studio which I now use for mine and my friends personal music recordings. I have played guitar for 37 years and have been in many bands playing in night clubs in the ny tri-state area. One of my bands even had the priviledge to be chosen as opening act for Motley Crue East coast tour many, many years ago. Due to personal problems within the band we had to decline.
At present I am the Operations Manager for a large demolition company based in NJ. We were part of World Trade Center 911 tragedy clean up. We are still there finishing up the demo of one of the underground parking facilities.
I have owned many muscle cars throughout the years Chevelles, Gto's, Chevy Nomad wagon, Mustangs, and bought my first 2 year old Dart Swinger 340 in 1972. I was hooked on Mopar ever since.
I found this site through Moparchat.com. and have enjoyed the staff and members conversations and comradery everyday since. The day I was asked to be a Moderator on this board I was very proud and happy.

My name is Mike and I am a Mopar forum addict. LOL!!

Originally I am from Cambridge, NY...not too far from Khyron!! I bought my first REAL Mopar in 1986...a '71 440+6 Challenger. If AMC had been a Mopar back then, my first CAR was a '69 Hurst SC/Rambler in 1984!! Shortly after buying my Challenger I joined the USAF and have been active duty since. Coming up on 19 years of dedicated duty this coming September. I am a long haul communications troubleshooter/maintainer (Tech Controller) and with the dawn of the internet we have also taken on infrastructure technician roles. With 19 years in, I do a lot of directing these days rather than doing the work myself. Believe me, I would rather get my hands dirty than to sit behind a damn desk!! With rank comes responsibility, yadda yadda yadda...whatever. Anyhow, I have owned nothing other than Mopar since my Challenger...besides a 8 year stint in Okinawa where I HAD to own a Japanese POS. I bought my Demon in the Philippines back in 1991, just prior to getting booted by a volcano named Mt Pinatubo!! While in the PI I also owned a 318 powered '72 Duster and a 318 powered '74 Duster...neither of which made it back to the states like my Demon did. Since being back here on US soil I have my Demon safely with me in AZ and I have bought, and soon after sold, a numbers '72 340 Duster. I sold the Duster to fund a '73 Satellite Sebring Plus, 400, 727, 8-3/4, etc...totally rust free SW car and in much better shape than the Duster was.

Okay...enough rambling...FABO rocks!!

Later -- Mike

My name is Rob and I am a mopar fan. I live in Sausalito California and work in Downtown San Francisco doing web design. I have owned many A bodies. A 68 Valient was my first mopar. I had a BB 67 Dart GT 383. Two 69 Darts. I currently have a 68 Dart GT convertible that has a pumped 440 in it. It is not quite done yet though. I also have a 66 Barracuda that I have a pumped 273 with 340 heads to put in it. I ride my 2000 KTM 300 on the weekends and some time race. I like to 4 wheel my 2000 Tacoma 4x4 TRD, which is lifted and has some mudders on it. I am married for almost two years and own a house. I am looking at a satilite I really want right now.

:-k Okay, I'm Greg from Houston. I have worked for Compaq, now HP, for 19 years. By education, I am an Electronics Technician. I was promoted to Design Engineer about 10 years ago, but for the last 4 years I have been doing Project Management. I am divorced and have 2 teenage boys.

Why am I here? Plain and simple, I'm a car nut. I don't favor any particular brand, there are good and bad models from all the major auto makers. Right now there are 5 vehicles at my house:

'71 Dodge Dart, soon to have a 416 stroker
'77 Chevy Silverado, soon to have a 454
'87 Buick Grand National
'88 Pontiac Fiero, with a Corvette 350 TPI engine
'96 Chevy ImpalaSS

Notice a theme there? ;)

But the very first car that I called my own was a '70 Dart Swinger. My parents purchased it brand new when I was still in elementary school. When I turned 15, I got my license and started driving the Dart. Soon after that my dad decided to sell it... my car! :-x I ended up with a lousy 4 door Ford Torino. Talk about a turd.

Anyway, a few years ago I was thinking it would be cool to have another Dart so I could build it up the way I wanted to back when I was in high school. So I started looking around and found my '71 on eBay. Not knowing a lot about Mopars, I found a Yahoo group for Darts to get some information and advice. But I was disappointed with the whole email list thing. So I started searching for a forum discussion group and happened upon FABO. This was the original site Adam set up. When it moved, I re-regged and have been on here practically everyday. This place is great! :headbang:

BTW I come here b/c I was notified by a member from BBD.com and I thought that other people with interests in A bodies would be hanging here. I was right. I wonder if it was the name?

I am from NY, about 15 miles from MidTown Manhattan on the Jersey side of the Hudson. Spent 19 years in jail, and will be getting out soon (retirement). Here is a list of the better cars that I have owned (not all Mopars sorry) and should have never sold.
1957 BelAir (still have it)
1968 GTO
1971 RoadRunner
1971 Duster 340 (just got it)
1978 RoadRunner
1983 Jeep CJ 7
1985 Mustang GT
1986 Olds 442
1987 Grand National
1988 Olds 442
1989 IROC Z 350
1990 Mustang LX
1933 Ram 150 (still have it)

That is about it.

My name is Jack. There's a big secret.
I am 48 years old and married for the second time. Between my wife and I we have 6 kids. 4 girls, 2 boys. You all will get to meet 2 of the girls in pics when the Demon is done. The wife and I are going to celebrate our 10th anniversary on Friday, May 13th. Isn't that fitting. LOL We have been together for 20 years.
I work for the Feds up here designing buildings, wharves and breakwaters.
I am building a 72 Demon because it was the first car I ever owned. It was a 340 car with all the trimming. This car will look identical to it, but will be much quicker. I found this site a little over a year ago and they haven't got rid of me yet.
Vehicles at present are.
72 Demon in many pieces

98 Ram 1500 4x4

99 Gran Prix GTP (what a rocket)

Jack

Im sure you all know my name. LOL
Im 27 born and raised in boring Connecticut. I've owned Mopars for almost 10 years now and have had my Barracuda for 7 years. I have a little one named Jacob, he'll be 19 months on the 22nd. My wifes name is Michelle, shes a pain in my *** but thats ok. Jake and I love her anyways.

We have 2 dogs, 3 cats and fish and now she wants a rabbit. :argue:

I started this site in Feb, of 2004 and Im still amazed at how fast its grown.

To start out my real name is Lantz but everyone calls me Mack.I have been an Import Mechanic since 1973. I also have been a Web Designer -Network Designer- A Cryogenic Engineer-and a British Motorcycle Shop Owner-and full circle back to Import Garage Owner. I retired at 45 (7 years ago) due to health problems and now just work on an as need basis in my gargae at home.

My first experience with Mopars came in high school when I bought a Ralley Green and white 69 Roadrunner from a local Plymouth dealer. It was nothing exceptional, 383 and a 4 speed. But it was enuff of a car to make me a Mopar believer for life. From there I bought a 70 hemi cuda convertable, bright yellow with black stripes. Unfortuneatly it was a piece of crap and when the dealer couldn't make it run right I forced the dealership to replace it.They replacement was a 70 black Roadrunner conv. with Hemi and an auto. This car was so butt ugly that after 3 days I returned it. It was black with burnt orange conv. top and orange interior !!! I'm sure it was a one only combination ...no one would have intentionaly make 2 of them. Since they couldnt return my car I settled for a 70 440-6 cuda someone ordered and then didnt pick up. This car wasnt bad excpt it was optioned for a salesman I think. Dark blue mettalic with shaker hood, electric windows, automatic on the coloum, and a 8 track tape in dash and a whopping 2.54 or 2.76 rear gears. Definately a hi-way hauler and all I can say is that I went 160 (by the speedo) and it had plenty left ...if it would stay on the road.

After killing that unit I bought a used 69 hemi roadrunner off a dodge dealer and raced it for 5 years with more than moderate success. But on the street it was un beaten in 5 years ...best damn car I ever owned !!!

And that brings me to my present mopar ... a 68 fastback Cuda that I bought in 70 for my mother and parked it in 80 until last sept when I started restoring it .
Well that is the story of my mopar life .....and I'm sticking to it ...LOL

Hello friends!

The reason I am here is to help fellow board members. I've always liked the family type enviroment this board offers (vs. other boards).

My name is Chris. I am 27, single and live in Parker, Colorado. I started working for Chrysler/Jeep a few months after graduating high school and attended a 2 year automotive school during that time. I worked for various Chrysler/Jeep dealerships up until Feb of 2004. I worked out of my Dad's 4 car garage for a year until getting into my own shop in Castle Rock, Colorado about 12 miles from my house. I work alone, and have never worked so hard in my life but I can honestly say I love getting up and going to work now!

My original business was started as Andrews Racing Transmissions specializing in Chrysler Torqueflites for racing use. I eventually branched out to bumper-to-bumper automotive repair and service on all makes and models and also work under a DBA of ART Automotive Repair.

My passion is mopars and racing. My first car was a 71 Duster with a 340 that is still undergoing restoration. I raced a 68 Barracuda in the Super Pro class in Denver for 4 seasons. In that time I've enjoyed a few runner up finishes and two wins, as well as becoming a track record holder at Bandimere Speedway.

Currently I am building a`67 Plymouth Valiant to campaign in the QUICK 16 program up here at 6000 feet elevation. I'd like to dip into the 7's with a 727 Torqueflite to prove that it handle the power.

Ultimatly, I'd love to pilot a top alcohol funny car. Nothing like shifting twice, tire shake and catching on fire through the lights!

Ok, here goes..... Bryan here. I'll be 43 this year (2005) and was born and raised in Beautiful Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. (Find Cape Breton by getting a map of Canada and going as far east as possible without swimming!!!) Joined the Air Force in 1986 and have had steady employment ever since! LOL! Heavy Equipment Operator/Tractor Trailer Driver is the trade. Now living in Ontario, Canada but hope to return to Nova Scotia once I finish with the military ( 2011 / 25 years service ). Have a great son aged 10, Connor. You'll see him and our "A" body at www.cardomain.com/memberpage/818614 .
Have always loved Mopars, when my parents decided to buy me a car for High School graduation (1980) I wanted a local 1973 Dodge Charger SE Brougham...... I got a 1975 Monte Carlo (ouch) but hey.... I was 18 years old... a Mopar would come later! Been a "B" body guy all the years until I picked up a clean little 73 Duster in 2002 from the original owner and loved it... only kept it a short while and sold it for another "B" body but wanted another one so we picked up the Dart Sport. I've read where less than 5% of Mopars for 73 were finished in the "Pale Green" color, code JF1... I can believe it as I haven't seen many. This one's a keeper, infact I'm looking around for another one now as when my son turns 16 the Green Dart Sport will be his ride! I've owned and still love the 1970 Coronets, have had a 440 model, 2X station wagons, an R/T and a 500! Also have owned the following, 1971 Road Runner, 1970 Charger R/T, 1970 Chrysler 300, 1970 Challenger, 1966 Satellite Conv, 1967 Satellite HT, 1972 Charger SE Brougham, 1972 Charger Rallye, 2001 Dodge Intrepid, 1991 Chrylser New Yorker and 1982 Dodge Ram Pickup.
Thanks for the chance to hang with others with my affliction...... Live,Eat & Sleep Mopars.

Later,
Bryan

I'm Craig and originally from Hawaii but recently moved to Las Vegas. Been with with board from almost the beginning. I currently own a 72 Duster, 69 Dart, and my daily driver is a E320 (German Mopar). The Duster and Dart are still in Hawaii waiting to get over here. I moved to Vegas to manage a nightclub called "The Beach" and also distribute parts for AR Engineering and American Muscle on the side. My first Mopar was a 68 Coronet R/T Hemi 4spd, but my favorites are a-bodies (especially if they have Hemi's in them). If anyone comes to Vegas, stop by the club and I'll buy you a beer or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5.......... or if you need anything from AR Engineering or American Muscle I'll make sure you get a good deal.

I'm Brad Munn, & live in Ocala Florida. I'm on my first & only marrige to a wonderfull woman that let's me buy all the tools I feel that I need. We have to children that moved out this year (one attending Embry-Riddle in Daytona). I work as a Roof truss designer and as a Residential Designer, and have been at it for 18 years.
I currently only have My 66 Barracuda, and not much time to work on it. We just sold our house, and will be in our new house by the end of the month, which should free up some time & MONEY for the project. I intend to keep the 273 in it for now & possibly turbo it at a later date. Since I have some floor repair work I would like to convert to either a late model auto or overdrive manual tranny. (any suggestions would be helpful).

Hey Joey, If your interested, My neighbor is considering selling his 1974 Lincoln Mark IV. It was given to him by Lincoln for his design work on the car & is a R&D car.
