This is just the kind of thing I expected from some people on here. My point in my oringinal post wasn't saying that I didn't care about what's going on. The point was that all political talk should stay in the political forum... and I have seen some getting into other parts of FABO.

Politics, child abuse threads and videos, general hate and bashing ... sure, this is a place to vent all things good and bad, but all in all it's a CAR site. I'm as guilty as the next for adding irrelevant crap to the General Discussion once in a while, but do try to keep it light and lively.
It's hard to say that about everyone. After the same old/same old, it seems after awhile I avoid the post writer altogether regardless of the post title because it's just gonna be more of the same non-car stuff I've read from them since they got here.

I agree with you Hemizach, there is a forum for political talk, it is irritating to hear so much political talk in the other forums. Much of the so-called 'political' talk is just people repeating what their favorite pundits are serving up ad nauseum across the airwaves, to make themselves feel superior. A lot of you guys are smart and know what you're talking about, no offense intended. A break from the political talk would be nice, that's all.

We are all guilty of talking about other subjects than Mopar.
I for one pretty much keep my politics in the proper forum, and do not really notice much of others comments bleeding over into improper forums, besides one new member earlier today.
Just about all my non-mopar related comments are in a humorous sarcastic fun way. So as far as I'm concerned wrap your bacon up in some tinfoil and find a methhead to beat with it, don't forget the video.
At least Zach saw some humor in the Czar comment.

I almost agree; I hardly let any of my feelings in here
But the way things are going now, hear me out; my last political statement in here, and I didn't start it: I think the young guns need to read some of it, and make up their own minds. These forums aren't censured yet. Bear with me,
People in power are trying hard to destroy our, OUR Constitution.
They need to be aware, as they weren't taught it in our leftist schools.
I was, being raised in the 50's and 60's on the Eastern shore of Maryland, exposed to teacher interns coming in and telling us how good SNC and all the socialists were.. My parents moved us to North Fl in 1968. I was 1 year ahead of my high school class here, and I never heard so much political bs in class here. I took DCT class to go work for Chevrolet, just to get out of 12 th grade, and still graduate.
I don't go into the other forum, because you can't talk logic to a socialist.
Ok. Done. Back to cars.

I just think that politics is on a lot of peoples minds because of high unemployment, universal health care, cap and trade and the inevitable higher taxes. It is hard to not talk about it right now. I do think that it does belong in the appropriate threads, but I also believe that the mods do a great job of keeping everyone in check. I don't think that someone should be booted for expressing their opinion or freedom of speech. I do think that if you are ignoring the future of this country and are not trying to educate yourself then you are part of the problem.
I have proudly served my country and I think that I have earned the right to talk about the future of it. You can put your blinders back on now. I'm done here.

We have a politics and news forum for a reason. I know its hard to not bring this stuff up sometimes but we need to be considerate to the people that come here for a brake fro reality and lifes problems.
