That doesn't even really look that rusty, maybe some surface rust like everything has. Looks more like just a fatigue crack from repeated loading/unloading of the springs.

it is just surface rust the original boxes were not built for 500+ hp built them back much stronger . Sway bar held it together for the drive to the shop , was not fun would have been worse with no frame connectors and sway bar
