Hey Rich, Have never seen any of those intakes before. Both look well thought out.

they are some stout pieces. all motor mike and R/T ernie have made their share of great manifolds. the air flow should have no turbulance here at all

i have contact info for both those guys if you are interested. not sure how much r/t ernie is still building but i know mike is still very much at it. r/t ernie built my first intake manifold and both my turbo manifolds.
both done by rt ernie

these were done by mike. if i were to do it again he would build my intake, exhaust manifold, and port my head. my intake was built off a stock manifold. i myself am not a huge fan of darrell cox.

Nice looking pieces. as soon as I'm done with the oil pan I will build the motor mounts and start on the turbo manifold.
Here is a picture of the turbo head flange that is on it's way to the shop. All the tube is schedule 10 stainless steel I will be using. It will be a twin scroll design.

opps forgot to add the pictures.

jw looks like you have evrything you need except motor mounts and a rwd trans to do the dart
lol had.... i made a bad choice in life sold all to get married. never happened. maybe it is a blessing.... i hate being young and dumb. my heart is with neons but always wanted a classic. i sold the rest of the items and bought my 65 dart. now that i have a 64 and a 65. i am throwing the idea around to build a 2.4 powered one. i only have so much money. my 64 is my driver car i just bought new wheels and i am planning on dropping my 273 in it's bay, but i really think it needs a 2.4 instead..... the wife may kill me. lol. i already have to 2 different 5.7 hemi's. hahahaha

I say go for it.

Really nice build! If you have not already decided on the intake I would consider these plenum chambers. They are really nice and I used it on my turbo conversion. Inexpensive and really good quality.

The idea behind the design is that you will get an even flow on all the runners. Google Audi imsa plenum chambers or Audi grp B plenum. Below is a simulation proving the engineers where doing it right..

Thanks, I will keep them in mind if the other piece doesn't work out.

So I was posting pretty regularly on progress and then? crickets again. Not really. So I'm waiting on a new plenum base to be machined so I can put the intake back together now that I cut 2 inches out of the runners. I'm also waiting on the oil pan flange to come in from water jet. With out the oil pan I can't mount the motor or move on to making the turbo manifold. Soooooo. Looking at the car today one of the guys said I think your car would look great with the drip rails removed. I think he's right. So tomorrow I will start removing them. At least it's progress. Not what I had in mind. But progress. Oh yeah I'm also still waiting on the new/2nd set of composite springs to get finished up. GEZZZ.

The springs my daughter picked up from are still In Noblesville if and when I get that way I may have to look you up

Started the drip rail removal. About 1/2 way done with the first rail. Pretty simple and quick to do.Although it's not my first time doing this. LOL
It really cleans up the roof line. A little late to turn back now.

The car is looking very cool, that's another thing I wish I would have done, remove the drip rails.

Never too late......and I know what you are REALLY thinking (maybe because we are too much alike).

Thanks Ross

Ross don't listen to this guy. He is a bad influence. LOL

Imagine....that is what my wife's friends told her when I met her 27 years ago....next week, married 20 years....worst part, I think the wife would agree with you.

Merry Christmas boys....and as always,
Mopar to ya'
Denny

One down one to go.
