Just about 70 degrees out today.. Decided to wake the buggy up from her winter slumber.. Couldnt take her out of course (too much salt on the roads seeing as how we just had over 9 inches of snow here 4 days ago.. LOL and its already gone).. but it felt so good to hear her run... Spring is just about here my friends... Im getting excited again...

Thank you much for the kind words Rani... They are much appreciated. Please feel free to start that thread anyways if you want, I'll be sure to post and cast my vote.. I love the way the rallye wheels look on my Dart.. but eventually I may go with torque-thrusts.. who knows.. lol.. (anyone reading my thread knows, I tend to change my mind a lot LOL) .. I am glad I could help be somewhat motivational.. Keep us posted on what you get done out in the shop...

Had mine running yesterday but did not video it. Perhaps when I pull the beast out of the garage for the first time in the spring I will get the wife to video so everyone can see the **** eater grin on this old man's face! That car is like viagra to me for some reason. Every time I get in it I feel young again.

Trust me I know exactly what you mean...

Awesome car and great work! Facebook added.

Been a while and wanted to update the buggy thread... I have had the car out several times already this season.. yesterday was the day we finally got around to giving the car her supper stock springs... and man did she fight! We had to cut the front bolt from the hanger on the passenger side... both shackle snapped when trying to get the nuts off (which I sort of expected anyways, since they were NASTY looking.. ) Went to put the passenger side back together and one of the brand new shackles I got from Summit, snapped while we were tightening it up... Oh I was mad as a hornet... called Summit and bitched.. (they're sending a new shackle) drivers side went together without too much incident.. so that was a plus.

Turns out my good friend has a 67 parts Dart sitting out behind his shop, so just for ***** and giggles, we drove over climbed in the weeds to see if that car would give up a shackle... Now I had no faith in this, however the phrase, 'you just never know'
came to mind LOL ... sure enough, she gave up a shackle.. we took it back, cleaned it up and got the buggy finished and back on the ground.. Took her for a ride.. I love the way those springs feel...

Did find out though, that thanks to the springs doing their job, its time for a little more motor than the stock 360 for burnouts LMAO .. tried twice last night.. the car felt totally differant, it stood up, and just pushed the back tires hard against the ground... all I did the first time was push the front end of the car... lol.. 2nd attempt I got the rears to finally break loose and spin (only after pushing the car about 10 feet LMAO) .. so yeah, the rear suspension has been upgraded, works great.. now I need more pony's under the hood for my burnout fun (or i need to at least get the hose out and wet the alley first lol) .. Just keeping ya all updated.. Happy hot rodding everyone

in other news.,... it was discovered last night at the car show at Norwin Hills, that my vinyl top has begun lifting in several places.. down along the bottom of the back window on both lower corners.. now there was some question as to whether this was happening due to my rear window leaking the way it does.. but then we noticed it lifting on top of the roof along the two seams... needless to say im a bit agitated.. I didnt even notice it.. the way the sun caught the back of the car cause my friend to notice it.. you can push the top back down to the metal underneath.. I have no clue what its going to take to fix this.. I know all the trim is going to have to come back off... sometime in the next couple weeks, I will get in contact with the guy that installed my top, see if theres anything he can do... grrrr. never a dull moment with my baby...

Damn that sucks! Might have not been the right amount of glue used in those areas. I never had one do that. I even installed one on my dads cutlass years ago, and never did that.
I wished I knew you were there. I would have dropped by.

Im actually not all that pissed... I mean, getting pissed wouldnt help it anyways.. Im thinking it is a glue issue as well.. im not saying that water didnt have something to do with it along the bottom of the glass, but surely that wouldnt be the issue on the roof top itself.. oh well.. Im sure sooner or later I'll get it figured out.. now im more glad than ever that we shot paint on the roof before having the top installed..at least I know its not bare steel under there like they were from the factory..

And I wasnt planning on being at Hills at all last night.. Managed to get done helping my daughter move with enough time to get the car out.. despite the roof issues, it was my first time getting her out on the highway with the super stock springs.. what a difference!! It feels like a completely different car.. I love the way it rides now more then ever

I have done them. it does sound like a glue issue honestly.
Dalton thought he saw your car rolling through Monroeville. He was going to the gun show with a friend. He wasn't positive, but thought it was your car.
I still have my interior out, but the rear end is done.
How's those new springs?

I didnt have the car in monroeville, so I doubt it was me he saw.. glad to hear you got the rear end back together.. Hopefully if the weather is good this weekend I will see ya down at Hills.. Just mentioned in my last post, the springs are awesome.. should've done that upgrade years ago.. lol

I didn't think you had it out there. He must have seen a different one.
Glad the springs worked out! Thats awesome!!!!

Bill, I hope you get the vinyl roof straightened out. Maybe it can be pulled up slightly and glue added? I'll be catching up with you and Tony out in Irwin in the next couple weekends.

I thought about that.. but I dont see how that will work.. and I still have to take all the trim off the car.. that trim was a serious pain in the *** to get on once the top was on LOL .. I am not at all looking forward to this.. Im not even 100% sure it will get straightened out this season.. I may just make arrangements with him to fix it when I put it down for the winter.. (planning to swap motors this winter anyways) we shall see...

I look forward to seeing ya down Hills
