I found a car in a small town down the road today and I am going to purchase it. I was just wondering if it is a rare combo? It is a 75 Valiant 4dr 318 4spd 8 1/4 rear end A/c power disc brakes rubber floor mat car. It has 3.23 suregrip. I was wanting to use it for parts. As far as the guy who owns it knows, it is all original. Should I use it for parts or make a cool sleeper out of it?

75 Valiant 4 door, Your like me always wondering "if perhaps maybe $$$". I don't really think so (rare) for some time yet. I would end up using it for parts (just because I'm not much for the four doors. :silent:
HOWEVER, If it's outstanding shape..you could wrap it up for about twenty so more years :)

If your going to buy it anyways then just sit on it and ponder its merits for awhile.

quite a few years ago I bought a 440 Fury II to get the engine for my 318 pick-up. after pulling the motor and moving, scrapping the car in the process I had a brain fart.

71 (I think) Fury II with a 440 Super Commando, 727 torqueflight, factory duel exahust, HD cooling package, HD drive train package, HD suspension package. ya it was a four door but how many of those with these options do you think are out there. I kick myself to this day for my blatant disregard for some unique mopar heritage. :drinkers: :sad9:

I vote 4 door sleeper but money could be the issue most of the drive train will need to go especially the rear end. The 4 speed could be a keeper with the right clutch and pressure plate.

i say make it a bb sleeper.. like i was going to do with my 4dr.. money was an issue so i scrapped that idea made it my everyday driver and now i moved on to a 2dr, if at best you should keep it for the fact its a MOPAR with parts..
i vote for KEEPER

I can agree on the Fury. (there's quite a differance here) I'm not out to knock anyone's wheels. I like to think of it as a kinda reality check. Although A-bodies are getting right up there, I tend to think everything go's with the demand in a vehicle. To be up front, the reason I said wrap it up for 20 or so years is that I feel 4 doors are still alittle far from the rare "demand" issue. I had ask about my 69 Signet once. :book: ..and was told it was nothing but a nice car. Man, only 6500 were made that year (2 dr V8) and how many of those had buckets, "I" thought that was rare. "NOT". There's just no demand for them like Darts, Cudas..I think you get my point. Maybe down the road it could be. Just as I was thinking on pulling the orginal 273 out..should I keep it. Who knows...

It is most assuredly a rare car. But that doesn't make it worth a lot either. The car would have a nice "cool" factor though. Imagine it with a 408 stroker motor. tasty. If its not relatively rust free, I probably wouldn't put too much into it though.

Rare, but not valuable. I came across a similar 70 Valiant about ten years ago, but it was a /6 with a three speed stick. It had discs and an 8-3/4 and I had no money for parts. It was probably a fleet car.

i don't know about the rest of these guys, but how many times have you seen a v-8 4-speed 4-door anything! sure theres alot of /6 cars. if it was me i would set aside the numbers matching 318 & put in a mild 360. beef up the suspension & have some fun with it!

another example was my 66 dart wagon slant six 3 speed on colum

not super rare but who sees these, when i had mine running i got alot of complements on the car(from mainly older people) o thats a good lookin car take care of her.

little to non of the kids at my school have heard of a 3 speed up by the steering wheel. most of them though it was an auto untill i said look at the pedals.

it wasnt the most valued thing but i have never seen another one(except for a couple online) :thumblef:

I dont really car if its worth alot or not. I just thought that a 4dr 4spd v8 car with suregrip would be pretty rare. From what I have read about 1975, this thing is a close to a muscle car you could get. I cant decide if I will use it for parts or sit on it awhile and just have fun with it. I was looking for a drivetrain for my 65 Dart 2dr post, I was thinking that this might be a good candidate. Plus it was cheap!
