Stop in for a cup of coffee

-

Mopar Joe is stopping by today. We will go for brunch and I can give him a D Daddy calendar. He will get a charge out of that I'm sure. This is the Christmas I like.

So this shows up in my bin at the parts store. I priced it out,$700 plus. Was going to set some money aside for it.
Parts guy says trade for some work and he wants some of my extra metal siding. I think i have 5-6 thousand square feet left.

So poetic. LOL

Looks like we are sharing the weather. Should be nice here for next week
We had a very local snow squall last night. Roads were clean all the way home till a couple miles from my house. Then could see a white coat on everything. Snow on the sides and a heavy layer of salt on the road. Word is it was an instant skating rink earlier in the evening. Friggin cold here this morning. 20F, chill taking it to about 5. But warms up a bit every day. By Christmas our high should be 40 something and low will be right around freezing. No snow predicted between now and then, so I guess it wont be a white one this year.

I got pulled over last night... 3rd brake light out. Just 'letting me know' but ran my license. They were either bored after the chaos from the snow squall or looking for someone.

That wasnt so bad. Service and heater core flush.
Drained both at once, back flushed heater core and refilled cooling system with the airlift and filled oil. 45 minutes.
Heat like an oven. Nice lady drives away happy.

next one without heat, not going to be fun. I have a feeling the new heater core i did in the summer is faulty.will find out shortly.

Looks like i will be replacing a faulty heater core. Bugger all for heat. Damit.

Hey TJ did you get your package from a Dave yet? Got mine last night so betting you get yours today. By the way a very public shout out to Ddaddy, simply coolest calendar yet! Totally rocks!
Not yet, John. Hoping tomorrow.

Well for some reason the torrent started making heat, reversed the heater hoses and revved it a couple times and started belting out the heat. 2 for 2 today.
Just have to replace the turn signal lever/clockspring and im done.
Dont care for playing with air bags when im all static charged though, been getting shocks steady the last few days. Note to self, discharge before picking up airbag.

Sounds like it was air locked

Sounds like it was air locked
Had a bit of dirt in the core, i always catch what comes out to see whats plugging it.
Thermostat was 180,now 195. reversed lines on the core, high side is now the return.
And i used a vacuum filling tool as well. And a recalibration of the air door motors.
Dont know exactly what got the heat back, airlocked for 6 months, seems unlikely but entirely possible.

My shop built flushing tool was successful again today.

the one fap off has needs a garden hose connection, along with compressed air, where mine has a water tank built in. No garden hose.
