This is a little corny on a car site but we had these at Whisky Tasting a few nights ago. Delicious.
For those that enjoyed the Almond Bars, here is the recipe:
1 Cup butter, softened
2 eggs
2 Cups sugar
1 can Almond paste or almond filling (12-14 oz)
Cream those together well. Add 2 Cups flour and blend well.
Put into a greased 9x13 pan and sprinkle slivered almonds on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Enjoy!

Dam Mike if she was not making 3 layer cookies we would be all over that one.
Next time. They were really good. I think I will make a pan and the wife can take some to work. They will be a hit.

Back from the stamp 'show'. Didn't find most of what I was hoping for, but did get several I need. Bad news was, The guy that runs the show and probably has the biggest stock selection wasn't there. He had a bad accident driving in Thursday. Rolled his van. He's in the hospital in rough shape and a lot of his inventory is ruined.

Long day so far. Saw mom, she’s ok, but not great. Sister going to visit,hasnt seen her in months. I really think my sister is going to cause trouble, i hope not.

Sorry about your Mum Frank. Hopefully Sis doesn't cause trouble. Bad roads makes for long days. Glad it went ok
